Nitric oxide is a supplement that is used in some pre-workout powders that helps get more oxygen to your muscle tissue, and improves vascularity and prevents the build up of lactic acid.

Supplements are regulated by the FDA on a “safe until proven otherwise” basis.
There have been deaths caused by supplements, why hasn’t the FDA done more to prevent this?
