History

• Glendale industries was Established in 1994.

• Total sales in a single year average about $10-14

million.

Work place and culture• The atmosphere in the work place is very friendly

and organized. • The work place is very clean and very safe for

people to work. • You have to wear ear plugs and eye wear. • I also learned that u don’t know everything and to

always take other peoples advice.

• You have to be over the age of 18 to work their and you start of working on your level one ticket and work your way to a level three.

Paint Department

In the first picture that is where they do an acid wash for the tanks to get rid of any bacteria.

In the second picture is the oven where they bake the tanks after they have been painted.

In the third is the paint booth, they don’t use regular paint its actually a powder paint.

In the fourth is where they would put the tank to cool off after coming out of the oven, but right now they had cultivator

knives hanging.

In the first picture is a tank that is being welded together.

In the second picture are I Beams for a new Esso that is being built, I had to drill holes in them.

In the third and fourth pictures are work stations in welding the shop.

Week 1

• Worked in the paint department.• On the first day I did safety training• Removed decals from a truck with a heat gun• Put cultivator knives on racks • Packed the cultivator knives in boxes

Week 2

• Made air conditioner brackets so they can be hung.• Went to the jail to pick up stainless steel food cart

to be fixed. • Made an aluminum desk for the coke plant.

Week 3

• Went to Petro Canada to get quotes for a solid steel beam.

• Used an acetylene torch to cut sheet metal. • Welded two frames for hydraulic pumps.

Week 4

• Used a mag drill and put holes in the I Beams.• Worked in the paint department.• Grinded off burs on air vent covers• Welded two coat hangers togeather.
