ENROLMENT INTERVIEW
During the enrollment interview you gather information about:
the last grade or year of school a learner
has completed
any previous experiences a learner may
have had in non-formal education
the learner’s literacy skills through the Assessment of Basic Literacy Test (ABL) and/or the Functional Literacy Test (FLT)
The learner’s self assesment of his/her skills and understandings.
Recognition of Prior Learning Interview
During the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) interview IMs-gather information about:
- the life experiences of the learner
- the training a learner has completed
- the work history of the learner,
- the skills a learner already has and
- the skills the learner wishes to develop
On going support and guidance from the Instructional Managers regarding how the ALS system’s work and how learners fit within it.
