Directions for using this interactive book:

Students will interact with this book by changing the arrow into a pen. This is done by clicking and holding on top of the triangle in the bottom left side of the screen. Click and select the “pen.” The mouse will become a pen that allows the student to write within the electronic book to answer the questions.

The pen color can be changed by choosing the “pointer options” and then choosing the pen color.

Congruent means having the same size or shape. Can you circle the shapes that are the same size? Can you find the correct label?

A hexagon is a plane shape with six sides and six corners. Can you find the hexagon and number all of its corners?

An octagon is a closed plane shape with eight sides and eight corners. Can you label the octagon and number all of its sides?

A polygon is a closed plane shape with straight lines. Can you circle all of the polygons and put an x through all of the shapes that are not polygons?

A symmetrical shape can be divided into two congruent parts with a line of symmetry. Draw a straight line through the symmetrical shapes. Remember to hold down the shift key as you draw your line.

A pentagon is a closed plane shape with 5 sides and 5 corners. Find the pentagon and number the corners with a red pen.

Use the pen to label all of the shapes above. Use all of the vocabulary words written above.
