You may have heard about the testimony of a woman

who had been carried into a church service because

she was very weak. During the service, she heard

God’s servant speak to her situation and she took a

shot of the anointing oil. The tuberculosis that had

plagued her life was humiliated. Whatever sickness

you have come is not remaining with you in the name

of Jesus.

We previously learnt in this teaching series that faith is

one of the principal mysteries of the kingdom and it is

powerful. The Bible makes us to understand that the

“just shall live by his faith.” This means, it takes faith

to be alive spiritually. It is therefore important to build

our faith. The failure of one’s faith is the failure of

such a person’s life. Even Jesus Christ had to pray that

Peter’s faith would not fail. Therefore, I pray for you

that your faith will not fail in Jesus’ name.

Peter walked on water because his faith was at work

but the moment his faith failed he started to sink. He

then cried out to Jesus for help. Jesus helped him up

and Peter walked back with Jesus to the boat. In this

kingdom, it is to everyone according to his or her faith.

The same way you cannot use another person’s nose to

breathe, it is the same way you cannot use another

person’s faith.

We have been looking at various definitions of faith all

through this month and this study adds more to the list.

WHAT IS FAITH?

1. Faith is taking spiritual responsibility in the light

of Scriptures thereby committing God’s integrity to

perform

It is an irresponsible faith that makes God absolutely

responsible for all of life’s occurrences. There is

always something that you need to do for God to play

His path. Kenneth Hagin shared a story in one of his

books about his son who would always come to him

when he had an ear infection. Kenneth Hagin would

pray for him to get healed but it got to a point and he

told his son that he would have to exercise his own

faith to get healed and not depend on the faith of his

father.

Deuteronomy 28:1-2

“And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken

diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to

observe and to do all his commandments which I

command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set

thee on high above all nations of the earth and all

these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if

thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.”

Hebrews 4:11

“Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any

man fall after the same example of unbelief.”

The faith that moves mountains must be responsible to

speak right, think right and act right.

Mark 11:23

“For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say

unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast

into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall

believe that those things which he saith shall come to

pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.”

2. Faith is not a beggarly force but an

ever-conquering force Faith taps into the omnipotence of heaven when

confronting situations appear.

1 John 5:4 -“For whatsoever is born of God

overcometh the world: and this is the victory that

overcometh the world, even our faith.”

Whenever faith is involved in any situation, it turns that

situation around. Consider the story of the three Hebrew

boys, in Scriptures, who were thrown into fire. They had

faith that their God was able to deliver them and He did;

instead of the fire burning them, it became soothing to

their body. The fire became irrelevant and the Hebrew

boys became the focus. According to Scriptures, faith

has the potency to stop the mouth of lions.

Hebrews 11:33—“Who through faith subdued

kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises,

stopped the mouths of lions.”

3. Faith is not a dormant force rather it is a violent

force

Mark 2:4-5—“And when they could not come nigh unto

him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he

was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the

bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay. When Jesus saw

their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy

sins be forgiven thee.”

Mark 10:48—“And many charged him that he should

hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou

son of David, have mercy on me.”

When faith is at work, it will move you out of your

comfort zone. I remember a while back, when I had just

joined Winners Chapel, I always experienced pain in

my eyes. At least two or three times a year, I must visit

the hospital because of it. The pain would always take

me off work for at least two to three weeks in a year.

One Sunday after service, I decided to believe God for

my healing. I threw away the two bottles of eye drops I

had in the bin and left it all to God. The pain was very

excruciating but I refused to yield to it. My wife even

wanted to call for the emergency services but I refused.

The pain continued for a while and I finally slept off.

From that day till now, the pain has gone forever. Faith

is a canal law of the Spirit with the capacity to suspend

natural laws.

WHAT IS UNIQUE ABOUT BIBLICAL FAITH?

1. No devil can stop faith from having its way

Mark 9:23—“Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe,

all things are possible to him that believeth”

All you need to do is to believe. Refuse any doubt or

fear. I was traveling back from New York this past

week and for a long time, there was turbulence during

the fight. Fortunately, I was studying a book on faith by

the Apostle over this commission. I immediately said to

myself in faith that nothing is going to happen to me.

The flight arrived safely by His grace.

2. Only a force that can stop the way against God

can stop the way against faith Mark 10:27—“And Jesus looking upon them saith,

With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with

God all things are possible.”

Your faith is the bridge that connects you to God

therefore if you allow fear, you will truncate your link

to God.

BREAKING INVISIBLE BARRIERS Barriers are limitations; spiritual walls, obstructions and

hindrances to your progress. Brethren, you need to

understand that invisible barriers are real but you need

to understand that even more real is the victory of God

for whatever is born of God shall overcome.

2 Corinthians 10:3-5—“For though we walk in the

flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of

our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to

the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down

imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself

against the knowledge of God, and bringing into

captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.”

Zechariah 1:18-21

“Then lifted I up mine eyes, and saw, and behold four

“Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples.” - Isaiah 8:16

horns and I said unto the angel that talked with me,

What be these? And he answered me, These are the

horns which have scattered Judah, Israel, and

Jerusalem and the LORD shewed me four carpenters.

Then said I, What come these to do? And he spake,

saying, These are the horns which have scattered

Judah, so that no man did lift up his head: but these

are come to fray them, to cast out the horns of the

Gentiles, which lifted up their horn over the land of

Judah to scatter it.”

HOW DO WE BREAK INVISIBLE BARRIERS

1. We must continue to demonstrate our love for

God

1 John 4:16—And we have known and believed the

love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that

dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have

boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so

are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but

perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath

torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

If your love for God is not intact, your faith cannot

work.

2. We must continue to trust God

Psalm 125:1

“They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion,

which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.”

3. We must remain planted in the Word of God

Obadiah 1:17—“But upon mount Zion shall be

deliverance, and there shall be holiness; and the house

of Jacob shall possess their possessions.”

Psalm 91:1

“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High

shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”

We must understand that in the Old Testament, the

church of Christ is the city of refuge; as you come into

it, you enter the protective shield from above.

4. We must be committed to serving God and the

interest of His kingdom

Our service to God is the key to avert every affliction

that might come towards us.

Exodus 23:25-26

“And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall

bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness

away from the midst of thee. There shall nothing cast

their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of

thy days I will fulfil.”

Malachi 3:17

“And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that

day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them,

as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.”

Job Confirmation In spite of Recession!

“I worked with a multinational firm for over three years

as a temporary contract staff. Although my position is a

sensitive one, I was retained as such because of

economic depression and the unprofitable ventures

which the firm has undertaken over the years. They are

in serious recession because they kept on sacking

temporary contract staff and even some permanent

ones. However, I keyed into Bishop David Oyedepo’s

teachings on Kingdom endeavours. I prayed for the

salvation of multitudes, their establishment in the faith

and in the church. I participated in evangelism to win

more souls into this Commission; I was faithful in

tithing and giving as much as I could. Papa also decreed

that, during this economic holocaust, there shall be l

ifting up for Winners when men say that there is a

casting down. Behold, before Shiloh commenced, I was

confirmed as a tenured staff amidst the recession, while

others were being saked. What an awesome God!

Indeed, my case is different! Praise God!” - Rotimi A

Heart Disease Healed Via Kingdom Stewardship! “Before I joined this Commission in 2005, the hospital

was my second home because of the plagues of

hypertension and diabetes. I had a bag full of drugs

tagged ‘My life saver’ and I carried it everywhere I

went. I had eight still births and a heart operation on

July 23, 2015. Since then, I believed God for good

health. I also engaged in Kingdom advancement prayers

for the growth and development of the church in order

for God to turn my shame into a testimony. Moreover, I

participated in soul winning and won my husband to

Christ. I keyed into the message of July 17, 2016 titled,

‘Is there no Balm in Gilead’. When I got home I

announced the divorce between me and the bag of drugs

and I was to undergo another heart operation on the

July 19, 2016. However, now, I am strong, hale and

hearty because everything has turned around for my

good and the God of this Commission has blessed me

with my first and second quantum leaps. Truly, I serve a

miracle working God. May his name be praised forever!”

23yrs Shame of Barrenness and Untimely Death

Terminated.

I joined this great commission battered, bitten and

wretched. I got married at the age of 25yrs, but for ten

years and six months I had no child, because of this, I was

humiliated by my husband and my in-laws and was later

thrown out of the marriage. I stayed for eleven years before

I met my colleague who brought me to this commission.

When I started coming, I was always hearing the word and

Papa would always teach on Matt. 6 v33, and I also got

revelation on Exo. 23 v 25-26. With these words on

kingdom service and kingdom Advancement endeavours, I

started engaging in kingdom Advancement endeavours,

both praying for the kingdom and reaching out for the lost

souls. I usually dreamt of being pushed inside the grave on

different occasions, but God’s Angels will always bring me

out. I knew the spirit of distraction was in operation, so I

kept on engaging vigorously, tireless and unmovably.

Suddenly, God gave me a man after His heart in this

Commission and we got gloriously married on the 15th of

Sept. 2015. I was confirmed pregnant in May 2016 and on

the 13th Feb, 2017, after the covenant day of vengeance, I

went to the hospital, just like the Hebrew woman and gave

birth to a baby boy, Praise God. I bless the name of the

Lord God Almighty who delivered me from the shame of

barrenness and spirit of untimely death. Philo A.

Have you ever asked Jesus to come into your heart?

That is, are you BORN AGAIN?

If your answer is ‘NO’, or you are

not sure, please pray this prayer

with all sincerity and confidence!

Lord Jesus, I come to You today!

I am a sinner, I cannot help

myself. Forgive me my sins.

Cleanse me with your precious

blood. Deliver me from sin and

Satan, to serve the Living God.

Today, Lord Jesus, I accept You

as my Lord, and my Saviour.

Thank You Jesus, for saving me!

Now I know, I am born again! I

am now a Child of God!

Please declare this to yourself this week:

As I maintain my covenant walk with God all through the year 2017, while others may be drying up, I shall be flourishing, because my case is different – Mal. 3:6-10/17-18/ Gen. 47:15-27 As I continue to serve God with joy and gladness, God shall make me to laugh, and all that hear shall laugh with me – Gen. 21:6/ Ps 35:27 As I serve the interest of the kingdom of God through-out the year 2017 and beyond, I shall never lack bread and water on my table–Exo. 23:25/Matt.6:31-33 Because I have made my choice to serve the Lord, no matter how many businesses collapse in this season of uncertainties, none of mine shall collapse – Exo. 9:1-7/ Mal. 3:18/ Mal. 4:1-2 By the light of life all through 2017, I shall never get to a point where I will not know the way forward – Exo. 10:21-23/ Ps 25:12-14/ Jn 8:12
