Alternatives to Windows laptops

• FCAC is a Windows/PC based environment

• Devices running MacOS – eg MacBook Pro and MacBook Air

devices - can be used if parents make this choice.

• iPad and iPad Pro devices running iOS are not considered

laptop replacements. This also applies to Android tablets and (at

this stage) Google Chromebooks. Linux software is also not

supported.

• Non-Windows devices must have the ability to either dual boot

Windows or use Windows in a virtualized environment. Eg –

using Parallels on Apple laptops to run Windows.

• Use of Anti-Virus software is at the discretion of parents.
