BC Chamber on Proposed Changes to Canada Pension Plan (CPP)In June, the provincial and federal governments announced proposed changes to the Canada Pension Plan (CPP). Sincethen, the B.C. government has commenced a public consultation process to seek input from businesses and otherstakeholders regarding the proposed changes. Upon review, the BC Chamber recommends that the government allowCanadians to voluntarily contribute more to their CPP, rather than increased contributions by employers andemployees. See the rationale and backgrounder below.

Jan's Restaurant Pic ‐ The Cowichan Bay PubAs song writer Deb Butler sings, "Oh, it's so cool to play at Cowichan Bay", our local seaside village is a valleytreasure. Charming artisan studios, eclectic shops and numerous eateries to tempt foodies of all tastes. If you have ahankering for a brew with a view, the Cowichan Bay Pub has a wide range of pub fare. The Prime Rib Yorkie iscreative and delicious, but this visit I chose the Grilled Halibut Salad with a zesty dressing, capers and roast potatoes. It is a must try. Hubby was very happy with his $5 burger. What could be cooler than the Cowichan Bay Pub
