The Cal Poly Pomona Department of Music proudly announces it’s Spring 2018 Calendar of Events. Tickets for all events are available online at csupomona.tix.com or at the Dr. Andrew G. Chong Box Office, #24-188, Monday thru Friday from 12-1pm and one hour before showtime. Artists and events are subject to change.
The Spring 2018 series includes:
Friday, April 13: Los Angeles Percussion Quartet Master Class & PerformanceSince 2009, the GRAMMY-nominated Los Angeles Percussion Quartet (LAPQ) has forged a distinct identity as a world-class contemporary chamber music ensemble that is dedicated to commissioning an dpresenting new works for percussion quartet.Tickets for the performance are $15 general and $10 student admission.For details visit https://www.facebook.com/events/564969593881891/
Wednesday, April 25: Guitar Faculty & FriendsMusic Professors Peter Yates, Buzz Gravelle and Philip Graulty perform with friends Alexandra Grabarchuck, Alan Berman and Walter Marsh. The event features the premiere performance of the chamber opera “Before Going to Work” by central-coast composer Garry Eister. Thursday, Friday, Saturday, May 10, 11 & 12: Music Theatre Workshop “To The Ball”The Music Theatre Workshop, directed by Susan Ali, presents “To The Ball” featuring scenes
from Cinderella and Menotti’s Amelia Goes to the Ball!. Thursday, May 10th performance will be at 12:00pm and is a reduced performance for a special ticket price of only $5.
Friday and Saturday performances are at 8:00pm in the Music Recital Hall with a ticket price of $15 general admission and $10 student admission.
