Eisteddfod Winners! Public Schools across NSW are this week celebrating Education Week. As part of our celebrations our students performed at the Albury Eisteddfod today and joined our friends from Gerogery and Mullengandra Public Schools to sing a few songs at Lavington Square this afternoon. Student artworks are also on display at Lavington Square.

We were entry number 23 at the Eisteddfod and placed FIRST overall! What a fantastic result for our students, staff and wider school community. A huge thank you to Ebony Newton and Narelle Parker for their wonderful support, patience and direction with the Eisteddfod piece and for their ongoing

assistance with the school musical which will be performed later in the second last week of term. Thank you also to our fabulous teachers and staff for their flexibility and support with these performances.

Book Fair, BBQ and Open Day Parents, friends and families are invited to continue the Education Week celebrations tomorrow with our annual book fair, BBQ and open day. We will kick off the festivities at 1.00pm with the BBQ, followed by a repeat performance of our Eisteddfod dance. Parents will then be invited to purchase books from the book fair and tour the classrooms with their children.

Kindergarten Orientation Day The first of our Kindergarten Orientation days will be held on Wednesday 10th August from 9.15 to 11.30am. All children eligible to begin school in 2017 are encouraged to attend. Future orientation days will take place on the 14th September and the 30th November. Additional transition opportunities can be arranged. Please contact the school for further details.

Sporting Action Hopefully the sun will keep shining and dry out the soccer fields allowing PSSA sport to resume this week. Gymnastics for the K/1 class will go ahead as normal regardless of the weather. The junior and

senior soccer teams will play Albury at Sarvaas Park this week and Thurgoona at Sarvaas Park next week. The junior netball team will play Springdale Heights this week and Thurgoona next week. The senior team will play Albury North this week and Glenroy next week.
