Message of Reconciliation

Torah sh’Bichtav (Written Torah)

Who hath ears to hear, let him hear?

“Sola Scriptura”

(the Scriptures alone is authoritative for faith)

(in His Name)

[Yah -hoo-Wah]

is the Name of the Creator.

(Yâhuwshúa`) is His Son

[Al-u-heem - ALHYM] means "Mighty Ones“ or "Power"

means Set-apart, Pure.

(Qodesh) also means "Set-apart"

Ruwach (Spirit) is the Ibry (Hebrew) name for His "Presence", pictured as the

Counselor, Helper, and Advocate, the One Who "proceeds from the Father"

Tehillim 27:5

For in the day of trouble He will keep me secretly in His booth. In the

covering of His Tent He will hide me. On a Rock He raises me up.

is for you too!

Scripture speaks of a secret place where we can simply go, be alone, be

protected, pray, and hear from Yahuahshua. Knowing there is such a place is a

matter of faith. Going back time and again, that's a matter of building a

relationship. You need not have an advanced degree in any subject, need not

have memorized Scripture from beginning to end, but instead be aware the

Yâ-hwuah of Y’sra’al has a place for each Jew and Gentile who will open their

minds and hearts to Him.

Mt 6:5-8

When you pray, you shall not be as the role-fakers, for they love to stand

and pray in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be

seen by men. Most certainly, I tell you, they have received their reward. But

you, when you pray, enter into your inner chamber, and having shut your

door, pray to your Father Who is in secret, and your Father Who sees in

secret shall reward you openly. In praying, don’t use vain repetitions, as the

Gentiles do; for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

Therefore don’t be like them, don't you see that your Father knows what

things you need before you ask Him

Page 6: CALLED to BE the NATION of Y'SRA'AL

The truth in reality is visited in this secret place AND must be shared by those

who will live or else ... they will perish ... in darkness.

It is written

Lu 11:33

“No one, when he has lit a Lamp, puts it in a cellar or under a basket, but on

a stand, that those who come in may see the Light.

Tehillim. 119:105

Your Word is a Lamp to my feet, and a Light (aur) for my path.

The lamp of the body is the eye. Therefore when your eye is good, your

whole body is also full of Light; but when it is evil, your body also is full of

darkness. Therefore see whether the light that is in you isn’t darkness. If

therefore your whole body is full of Light, having no part dark, it shall be

wholly full of Light, as when the Lamp with its bright shining gives you

Light.”

The menorah is the only symbol created by Yâhuwshúa`

With this in mind, heart soul and strength let us study together in the

Ruwach

And now brothers and sisters

Come out of the secret place bearing light!

who see it from afar. The Secret Place, here, shines a bit of light so many can

see from afar. The topics we have chosen are addressed to Jew and Gentile

Page 7: CALLED to BE the NATION of Y'SRA'AL

together. We do this because that is what the Bible does. This opens the

window to make more sense of what Scripture tells us!

In the secret place is plain language, something simple to read. This is a mere

starting place for deeper consideration.

People often base their self-concept on their accomplishments. But

our relationship with is far more important than

our jobs, successes, wealth, or knowledge. We have been chosen by

as his very own, and we have been called to represent

him to others. Remember that your value comes from being one of

's children, not from what you can achieve. You have

worth because of what does, not because of what you

do.

Page 8: CALLED to BE the NATION of Y'SRA'AL

1 Kĕpha 2:9

Now ye are a chosen tribe, a Kingdom priesthood, a pure nation, a

people for an acquisition, so that ye might celebrate the manly

valors of the One Who called you out of the darkness into His

wonderful Light!

This same descriptive title is found in

Deu_7:6;

Because you are a people set apart to your Aluahiym; you are the

nation Yâ-hwuah your Aluahiym has chosen to be an especially-

valued treasure out of all the nations that are on the face of the

earth.

The "you" here is singular; He sees us as one man. Especially-valued

treasure: Hirsch, “belonging exclusively to Himself".

Comparison

Shemot 19:5;

"'So now, as you hear, if you will [really] listen within My voice,

and keep My covenant, you will become to Me a uniquely valued

[and guarded] treasure above all of the [other] peoples--because all

of the earth is Mine—

Hear, listen, and keep: to leave out any of these will keep us from

receiving the fullness of the gift He wants to give us through His

instruction (Torah). Listen within: or „listen into"--hear the depths

of what I am saying behind the words, the Raukh that lies behind

the letter. Rashi said this means that if we hear and obey once, we

Page 9: CALLED to BE the NATION of Y'SRA'AL

will be able to keep hearing and improve in our obedience. If a

student will not listen to his teacher, how will he ever hear Yâ-

hwuah’s voice? A uniquely valued treasure: literally, sealed up and

hidden away. Others may see us as imprisoned in His box, "having

to" do things not required of them, losing our rights, or being

"under" the Law. But it implies being guarded to the degree that

Fort Knox or a top-secret military installation is. When everything

else gets stolen (and it will), Y’sra’al will not, because it is locked

away in His "harem" (which in Semitic languages really has a

positive meaning of being specially set apart). Everyone belongs to

Yâ-hwuah, but Y’sra’al will be special to Him—on the condition

that we put into the relationships what we are supposed to; it is not

a one-sided promise. Do what He says, and you will be glad you

did. Guard the covenant carefully, and He will show us, but we

must be the first to act, because we are the less trustworthy party.

Deut. 14:2

Because you are a people set apart unto Yâ-hwuah your Aluahiym

Moreover, Yâ-hwuah has selected you to be a people for Himself,

especially treasured above all nations that are on the earth.

Deut. 26:18;

Yâ-hwuah has also declared you this day to be His particular

treasure of a people, as He had promised you, and [told you] to

keep His commandments,

Page 10: CALLED to BE the NATION of Y'SRA'AL

Particular treasure: has the connotation of being a special jewel

locked or securely hidden away from everyone else. This

emphasizes the holiness for which He had designed this

"uncommon" people, who are not to be considered just another of

the nations. Kĕpha calls us living stones that are precious to Yâ-

hwuah

We keep His commandments not just for our own sake, but for the

benefit of all Y’sra’al.

Mal’achi 3:17

And Yâ-hwuah [the Master] of Armies says, “They will belong to

Me for the day when I will prepare My specially-treasured

possession, and I will have compassion on them as a man has

compassion on his son who works for him [like a servant].

Have compassion: could mean to take pity or spare, but here the

“passion” aspect of compassion (the strong feeling) is emphasized.

Those who give their treasures to the storehouse of His people will

themselves become the treasure!

Mal’achi 3:18.

“When you come back, you will see [a distinction] between what is

right and what is wrong, and between those who serve Yâ-hwuah

and those who do not serve Him.

What is right and what is wrong: or, the righteous and the wicked.

Mal’achi 3:14

Page 11: CALLED to BE the NATION of Y'SRA'AL

“You have said, ‘Serving Aluahiym is worthless!’ and, ‘What benefit

do we [receive] for having guarded what He wants guarded and for

having walked mournfully from the presence of Yâ-hwuah [the

Master] of Armies?

Built up: or, established, made permanent. They have tested the

limits to see how far they could go. His long-lasting mercy makes

them think they will get away with these things forever.

Rom. 2:4

Or do you despise the wealth of His kindness, His toleration, and

His immense hesitancy to avenge, instead of recognizing that His

kindness is meant to lead you to [change your ways and] return to

Him?

Hesitancy: Aramaic, the place He gives you. Anyone who thinks

he can be considered justified before Aluahiym without accepting

His provision of amnesty through the HaMashiyach is fooling

himself about how righteous he really is.

We each have our own ways of doing this. Christians claim all is

forgiven and the Torah is obsolete. The rabbis think Yâ-hwuah has

abdicated His authority and left it in their hands (according to the

Talmud).

Mal’achi 3:15

“‘--to the point that we now call the insolent “progressive”!

Not only are those who deal wickedly built up; they have even put

Yâ-hwuah to the test and gotten away with it!’”

Page 12: CALLED to BE the NATION of Y'SRA'AL

Modern Yahuwdah sees the miracles Yâ-hwuah has done to protect

them, and chalks it up to the superiority of their armed forces.

As we stop Raukhualizing everything and come back to the literal,

physical commands as well as what they symbolize, the distinction

is quite simply defined: serving Yâ-hwuah vs. serving self.

Others may be allowed to slide with such practices—elsewhere in

the world—for a time, but not you, and not here in My Land! You

must be kept cleaner than the rest, polished better than others, and

not exposed to filth like some other vessels He had made.

for only those who go the distance can be Yâ-hwuah’s special

treasure.

Deu_10:15;

"[but] only to your ancestors did He become attached [in order]

to befriend them, and He selected their descendants to follow

them--you of all peoples--just as [is the case] today.

While He may work through other peoples as He chooses, Y’sra’al

is the only nation He promised to make His perpetual treasure.

Yeshayahu 43:20-21.

. "The living things of the field will honor Me--dragons and

ostriches--because I have provided water in the wilderness, and

rivers in the desert, in order to let My people, My chosen ones,

[have something to] drink.

Page 13: CALLED to BE the NATION of Y'SRA'AL

Dragons and ostriches (literally "daughters of the owl") are

unclean animals. Yâ-hwuah derives honor from them as well, even

if they are not in agreement.

Shemot. 14:18

Then the Egyptians will know that I am Yâ-hwuah by My being

honored through Pharaoh, his chariotry, and his cavalry."

If we see too many previews, going to the movie will be a waste of

time. We need to embrace the fact that we do not know the details

ahead of time, but there is one unknown that we never should

move toward: We must never go after Aluahiym that our (ancient)

fathers have not known.

Y’sra’al has only ever known one Aluahiym; do not worship

anything else. He is the one factor that makes the sure it is safe to

walk into the unknown. The more we know Him, the less we need

to know what is ahead. What we need to know is that it is Yâ-

hwuah that is bringing us and that He is with us.

Any other source of security is likely to tempt us to worship it.

He keeps us on the edge so we will not cling to the wrong things.

But what husband would not be kind to a woman who put his will

above her own?

Page 14: CALLED to BE the NATION of Y'SRA'AL

In order to let My people drink: In the process of providing His

Word to the people of Y’sra’al in exile, Yâ-hwuah also let the "dogs"

receive some "crumbs" from the table.

Mat. 15:26

So he responded by saying, "It is not appropriate to take away the

children's bread away and throw it to puppies!"

The HaMashiyach insulted someone so severely simply because she

was a Gentile, and maybe especially because she was a Kanaanite,

from a people who were supposed to have been annihilated by

Y’sra’al over a thousand years before.

Mat. 15:27.

So she said, "For sure, master, but even the puppies eat from the

crumbs that fall from their master's table!"

Their master's table: She yielded to the fact that being a dog at his

table was better than being a queen anywhere else. Unlike the kings

in

Tehillim 2,

Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot a vain thing? The

sovereigns of the earth take a stand, and the rulers take counsel

together, against Yâ-hwuah, and against His Anointed, saying, “Let

us break their bonds apart, and cast their cords from us.” He Who

sits in ha'shemaya will laugh. Yâ-hwuah will have them in derision.

Then He will speak to them in His anger, and terrify them in His

wrath :( Great Day of Yâ-hwuah) “But I have set My Sovereign on

Tsiyown, My Set-apart Mountain.” I will tell of the decree. Yâ-

hwuah said to Me, “You are My Son. Today I have become Your

Page 15: CALLED to BE the NATION of Y'SRA'AL

Father. Ask of Me, and I will give the nations for Your inheritance,

the uttermost parts of the earth for Your possession. You shall

break them with a rod of iron. You shall dash them in pieces like a

potter’s vessel.” Now therefore be wise, you sovereigns. Be

instructed, you judges of the earth. Serve Yâ-hwuah with fear, and

rejoice with trembling.

Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and you perish in the way, for His

wrath (of the Lamb) will soon be kindled.

She did not desire to break the king of Y’sra’al bond over her. She

was not there just to ask a favor, then spit on it. She proved she

would submit to his authority, and that she is a student worth

teaching. This is what turned the conversation in a different

direction:

This is one of the main reasons He scattered our ancestors. But

during the Kingdom as well there will be people who can be

tempted to rebel against Yâhuwshúa`, the King, but until haSatan is

loosed

they will know they do not stand to overcome His rod of iron, so

they will keep their mouths shut and at least appear wise.

Mishle 17:28

Even a fool, when he keeps silent, is counted wise. When he shuts

his lips, he is thought to be discerning.

Page 16: CALLED to BE the NATION of Y'SRA'AL

Yeshayahu 43:21.

"This people, whom I fashioned for Myself, will recount My

praiseworthy acts!

1 Kĕpha 1:2;

According to the prearrangement of Yâ-hwuah the Father, through

the setting apart of the Raukh into obedient hearing and [through

the] sprinkling of the blood of Yâhuwshúa HaMashiyach: May

empowering favors and shalom be increased to you.

Prearrangement: at Mt. Sinai, where He included all of the

descendants of those who had left the covenant in the meantime,

and His promises through the Torah

and prophets

to bring them back into their position at designated times (after

780 years and 2,730 years—the former being at the time just

before Kĕpha was writing, and the latter being our own day).

Sprinkling: as is to be done with blood from sin offerings

Lev 4:6,

"‘and the priest must dip his finger in the blood, and spatter the

front of the veil of the sanctuary with the blood seven times before

the face of Yâ-hwuah

Page 17: CALLED to BE the NATION of Y'SRA'AL

Seven times: a picture of completion. Spatter: flicking the fingers

with pressure that causes the blood to spurt. He was still in front of

the tent (v. 7), so this is the outer veil.

Lev 5:9

And he shall spatter [some] of the blood of the sin offering on the

wall of the altar, and what remains of the blood must be drained

out at the base of the altar; it is a sin offering.

upon those being cleansed from leprosy

Lev 14:7

"Then he shall spatter it seven times on the one who is to be

ritually purified from his leprosy, then he shall pronounce him

ritually clean, and let the living bird loose into the open field.

David prays, "Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me

and I shall be whiter than snow." (Tehillim 51) In this context

(which has strong Passover overtones after David took a "single

lamb" that had been raised in the household of another and reaped

the Passover plague of the death of his firstborn by Uriah's wife), he

asks Yâ-hwuah to cleanse his innermost, hidden parts--again, as a

dove's feather is used to sweep the hidden leaven onto a cedar wood

spoon at Passover. Let loose: like the scapegoat at Yom Kippur, but

possibly for a different purpose. Yâhuwshúa` sent his “Body” into

the world (which he said the field represents--Matt. 13:38), since

Efrayim was scattered there, intermingled with the nations and

needing to be brought back. The pronunciation here is the

completion only of the first “wash cycle”, just as when Yâhuwshúa`

Page 18: CALLED to BE the NATION of Y'SRA'AL

healed some lepers, he told them to go and follow the rest of these

instructions and offer the gifts Moshe prescribed as a testimony.

(Mat. 8) He could heal, but it was not his job to pronounce

someone clean; only the priest can do that. Instead he gave the

command, “Be cleansed.” Only the one in the process of healing

can complete that task. The former metzora is now “clean” on one

level, but being healed is not enough; there is still a process to

undergo before he can be fully integrated back into the

community, which is the real goal of his cleansing.

Lev 14:57

"To teach [you] when it is ritually defiled and when it is ritually

pure, this is the instruction regarding tzara'ath."

When: literally, the day of… We were born in a day of

uncleanness (selfishness), but we are entering a new day in which

healing is possible-- the Sabbath millennium, the Kingdom that

brings selfishness to a halt with a rod of iron. The order of the

wording is important: we must know what to avoid before we learn

what to embrace. If we identify what is selfish in ourselves, we can

learn what is unselfish by doing the opposite.

the blood of the firstborn of clean animals

Lev 18:17

"'You shall not uncover the nakedness of [both] a woman and her

daughter; you shall not take her son's daughter or her daughter's

Page 19: CALLED to BE the NATION of Y'SRA'AL

daughter in order to uncover their nakedness; they are her close

relatives. This is offensive!

and the blood of the red heifer to set apart the priesthood

Lev 19:4

‘Do not turn yourself to the idols, nor shall you make cast-molten

gods for yourselves; I am Yâ-hwuah your Aluahiym.

All of these were in various ways pictures of what Yâhuwshúa`

accomplished in cleansing us individually and corporately from sin

and selfishness, and to make us a house fit for His dwelling once

again. Shalom: Total well-being and completeness.

Tehillim 22:30,

Posterity shall serve Him. Future generations shall be told about

Yâ-hwuah.

Tehillim 33:12,

Blessed is the nation whose Aluahiym is Yâ-hwuah, the people

whom He has chosen for His Own inheritance.

Tehillim 73:15;

If I had said, “I will speak thus;” behold, I would have betrayed the

generation of your children.

Yeshayahu 41:8,

But you, O Y’sra’al, are My servant; Yaaqov, whom I have chosen,

the descendants of Avraham, My dear friend,

Yeshayahu 44:1

Page 20: CALLED to BE the NATION of Y'SRA'AL

So now, listen, Yaaqov, My servant, and Y’sra’al (I have chosen

him)!

This title is found in

Shemot 19:6;

"'and you shall become for Me a kingdom of priests, a separated

nation.' These are the words which you must speak to the

descendants of Ysra’al."

A separated nation: in a class of its own. The very idea calls for

judgment, because to separate we must discriminate between

different things. We cannot just accept anything. This is not

popular today, but if we are not comfortable with it, we must

become so by practicing it! To be ready to hear from Yâ-hwuah, we

must set things apart in our minds as well. Those who refuse to

judge or be judged can by definition never be set apart. As He

prepares to bring her into the covenant of betrothal at Sinai, He

wants her to have no doubt that He loves no one but her. He came

to Egypt to get her, but did not stay; there were other Aluahiym in

place there. He fought them for her, but has now carried her to His

own home. Priests: to help others approach Yâ-hwuah. Y’sra’al had

its own priests (literally, officiators), but as Yâ-hwuah’s firstborn,

the entire people was called to be a priest, or light to the nations.

This is not a prophecy or a promise, but a command. It will not just

fall into place if we do not make it a reality.

Yeshayahu 61:6;

Page 21: CALLED to BE the NATION of Y'SRA'AL

But you will be called priests of Yâ-hwuah, and spoken of as those

who wait on our Aluahiym. You will consume the wealth of

nations, and enter into the reputation they [once boasted of].

Priests of Yâ-hwuah: in comparison to the other nations, all

Y’sra’alites are to be priests. In fact, Ysra’al is called "a kingdom of

priests". Enter into: with the sense of exchanging places. Enter into

the reputation: LXX, be admired because of their wealth; Aramaic,

in their glory you shall be indulged.

Yeshayahu 66:21.

And I will even select some of them to be priests and as Levites,"

says Yâ-hwuah,

Levites were once substituted for the firstborn of other families of

Y’sra’al, so if the firstborn are better qualified to serve, having

studied more intently and demonstrated their love for Yâ-hwuah,

they may be restored to that right. This probably correlates with the

144,000 (12,000 from each tribe of Y’sra’al, except that Dan is

replaced by the double-portion of Yoseyf, Rev. 7).

As Y’sra’al was chosen to bring the knowledge of Yâ-hwuah to the

world, now the assembly in the wilderness is called to inform and

bring needy, sinful people to Yâ-hwuah.

Shemot 19:5-6;

"'So now, as you hear, if you will [really] listen within My voice,

and keep My covenant, you will become to Me a uniquely valued

[and guarded] treasure above all of the [other] peoples--because all

of the earth is Mine-- "'and you shall become for Me a kingdom of

Page 22: CALLED to BE the NATION of Y'SRA'AL

priests, a separated nation.' These are the words which you must

speak to the descendants of Y’sra’al."

Disclosure 1:6,

And made us a kingdom of priests to the mighty One, even His

Father: for Him is the honor and the power for the ages of the ages!

’Âmë´n (Certainly)!

Disclosure 5:10,

1And You did make them kings and priests to our mighty One, and

they shall reign over the earth!”

Disclosure 20:6

Happy and pure is the one having part in the first resurrection!

Over these, the second death holds no authority. Instead, they shall

be priests of the mighty One and of the Anointed, and shall reign

with Him a thousand years!

Y’sra’al was called to be uniquely Sacred and thus reveal a Sacred Yâ-

hwuah

Mat 5:48;

"On the contrary, you [have to] be perfect, just as your father in

Heaven is perfect."

Perfect: Heb., whole-hearted, impartial, treating everyone

according to their need, no matter how they have treated you. In

Page 23: CALLED to BE the NATION of Y'SRA'AL

context, "fully mature, lacking nothing, and of the utmost

integrity"--the "fullest meaning" of the Torah

v. 17;

"Do not imagine that I have come to abolish the Torah or the

prophets; I have not come to destroy them, but to fulfill them.

I have come: a Hebrew idiom for "my purpose is". To give them

their fullest meaning: as seen by the rest of this discourse, where He

expands on the common interpretations of his day to get to the

heart of the matter. "Fulfill" (or complete) was also a technical term

used by rabbis to describe a correct interpretation, which

"established" it. He reveals what Yâ-hwuah really intended by the

commandments by setting forth specific cases--a common rabbinic

method. In MattithYahuw he reiterates and amplifies on each of the

Ten Commandments.

Yaaqov 2:10

because whoever might observe the entire Torah, yet stumble in

one [point], would have become liable [to judgment] in regard to

the whole [thing].

Every part of the Torah is intertwined with the rest, and cannot be

dissected without doing violence to the whole. We cannot pick and

choose; if we miss the target at all, even by just a little, we have

missed it as much as one who does not even come close to hitting

it:

Page 24: CALLED to BE the NATION of Y'SRA'AL

1 Yoch. 3:9

Everyone having been procreated from Yâ-hwuah does not

perform sin, because His Seed

stays within him; and he is not willing to sin, because he has been

procreated from Yâ-hwuah.

1 Kepha 1:15-16

but rather, just as the One who is calling you is set apart, you too

[need to] be set apart in every [aspect of your] conduct, since it has

been written, “Become set apart, because I am set apart.”

'Because I am Yâ-hwuah your Aluahiym, and you have set

yourselves apart and become Sacred since I am Sacred. Thus you

shall not defile yourselves by any swarming thing that creeps on the

earth,

Swarming thing: Those who are set apart for Yâ-hwuah’s purposes

have no reason to follow the masses, letting popular fads determine

how they live.

Page 25: CALLED to BE the NATION of Y'SRA'AL

Leviticus: 11:45.

"'because I am Yâ-hwuah your Aluahiym, who brought you up out

of the land of Egypt to become an Aluahiym to you. Therefore,

you shall be in a separate category, since I am in a separate category.

The kosher laws are not ultimately about the animals or even diet

as such, but about who Yâ-hwuah is and who we are. Hirsch points

out that here Yâ-hwuah links freedom (summarized by the

liberation from Egypt) with holiness. To the “fleshly-minded”,

holiness seems like legalism or bondage, but it is really a gift that

brings us freedom from the bondage to our sensuous desires, which

lead us to many illogical, degrading, harmful, or just worthless

pursuits if not kept within the confines of the proper channels laid

out by the Torah. A train is only free when on its tracks, i.e., when

doing what it was designed to do. Man is designed for friendship

with Yâ-hwuah, and this means separation from all that tends away

from Him.

Leviticus: 11:46.

"'This [has been] the instruction regarding the animals, the fowl,

and every living creature that moves through the waters, and every

creature that swarms on the earth,

Leviticus: 11:47.

"'in order to make a distinction between the impure and the pure,

and between the living thing that may be eaten and the living thing

that may not be eaten.'"

Eaten: or consumed.

Food is a picture of what we take into ourselves Raukhually.

Page 26: CALLED to BE the NATION of Y'SRA'AL

This is the heart of the matter.

we must become discriminatory in what we partake of.

We make distinctions in how we eat so we will be able to

discriminate in the more important matters as well. We should

certainly tolerate one another within Y’sra’al, especially where there

is room for varying interpretations of how to walk out the Torah

and both are rightly-motivated. But tolerance of ideas opposed to

Torah is one of these “creeping things” that sneaks into our minds.

Living thing: or simply, "the life". Most “cares of this life” are not

about the Kingdom, unless we are part of a community, so that is

where we must draw the lines. The ancient Hebrews were careful

about whom they let into their tents (by extension, places of

learning). Yâ-hwuah’s House must remain Sacred and pure; while

outsiders may come in, He does not lower the standard. They must

be raised up, or the whole house will be lowered and the teaching

will be lost. This has taken place as the church let pagans come in

without changing their ways, but only the labels. Now it is so

diluted it is not recognizably the same structure as what Yâhuwshúa

`actually came to build. People constantly joined the community

of Y’sra’al, but in general Y’sra’al did not go out looking for

recruits. There were lost sheep of the House of Y’sra’al (the

dispersed and "lost" northern tribes) who had to be recalled from all

over the world because of Yâ-hwuah’s promises to provide a new

covenant for the sake of their forefathers, and "whosoever will may

come". But we are not trying to fill seats. We must even

distinguish between humanly-invented morality and the Torah for

which it is a cheap substitute. “Rejection” must again be seen as a

Page 27: CALLED to BE the NATION of Y'SRA'AL

positive thing, for if you do not reject certain things, you are no

better than a pig. We cannot take into ourselves every opinion that

comes our way, especially when it is gossip. We must make the

same distinctions Yâ-hwuah makes.

it is related directly to learning to make distinctions between right

and wrong by keeping ourselves from unclean foods

(so Kĕpha clearly knew that his vision had nothing to do with

actually eating unclean animals).

Leviticus 19:2,

Speak to the whole congregation of the descendants of Y’sra’al, and

tell them, ‘You shall be sacred [qedoshim], because I, Yâ-

hwuahyour Aluahiym, am sacred.'

This message is so important that the whole nation must gather to

hear it so they cannot use the excuse that they have not heard it.

Yâ-hwuah may not trust it to trickle down effectively in this case.

"Sacred" simply means "set apart" and "separate" from all that is not

Y’sra’al--in a category of its own. This more than anything else

makes Y’sra’al hated by so many and loved by others who are in

tune with Yâ-hwuah What Yâ-hwuah uses to make Y’sra’al separate

is the Torah, which also defines for us who Yâ-hwuah is—how He

wants us to know Him. It defines the nature of the relationships we

are to have with one another—not just negatively, as seen in the

last chapter, but positively, as seen in this one. Wherever our

actions conflict with it, we are in sin (“missing the target”). At first,

Page 28: CALLED to BE the NATION of Y'SRA'AL

it seems like we have hit the “bull’s eye” if we have rid ourselves of

the obvious, big sins. But as we mature and move closer to Yâ-

hwuah, our vision is more refined and we can see the target better.

Then we realize how far from the “bull’s eye” we really are.

Sacredness means constantly separating ourselves from more and

more habits, attitudes, and thought patterns, because as we walk

further upward, the bar keeps being raised. The definition of “sin”

tightens its focus to meaning anything that disrupts the life of the

community. Now we may have to separate ourselves from

association with others who may have seemed harmless before, but

whom we now realize “just don’t get it”. As our knowledge

increases, we become more and more of a mystery to those whose

categories are defined by other standards. Yet the more we walk in

the Torah, the less foreign and the more natural and beautiful it will

be to us. But a wall of separation not only sets us apart from what

is outside; it sets us apart unto what is inside. Each time it says

"you" here, it is plural. Ironically, it is impossible to be truly

separate in isolation! We are not holy for the sake of separateness

in itself, nor are we truly separate until we are all together in our

set-apartness. More important than being separated from all other

loyalties, we are separated unto Yâ-hwuah and His flock; without

that element, it is just an exercise in self-righteous pride. We screen

out other things so we can concentrate our commitment on Him

and His Kingdom’s priorities. The Torah is the eyeglasses that define

it more sharply for us. We must be generous, but not as our own

hearts define it, but as Yâ-hwuah does. The Hebrew words will show

us: For example, the word for “thank” means “to stretch out one’s

hands”. It means demonstrating our thankfulness by our actions,

not just our words. What follows is a description of how we must

Page 29: CALLED to BE the NATION of Y'SRA'AL

live if we wish to remain in Yâ-hwuah’s Land and a part of His

people. Otherwise, it is Y’sra’al from which we will end up being

separated. (Deut. 28:47ff) The world will take us hostage if we do

not strengthen one another with gladness of heart. Maturing as a

Body is a weeding process that sifts out and throws away more than

we keep. We must define what is outside, and leave it there.

Loyalty to things, people, or ideas on the outside—even biological

relatives--will separate us from our true brothers. (Mat. 12:48ff)

But we are always surrounded by the world; how do we remain set

apart? We carry the walls with us. If we remain defined by the

Torah, we remain holy, no matter where we are. Yâ-hwuah has

some degree of attachment to everything He has created, but He is

not close to all things or all people. He chose Y’sra’al, and

specifically Yerushalayim, in a way in which He never chose

Washington, D.C. or Rome. While we have a responsibility to the

whole world, the channel by which we do so has a much narrower

scope. Rabbi Noson Weisz summarizes this chapter by saying that

we have to be detached from the natural urges of the last chapter,

not to do away with them completely, for then there would be no

next generation to pass the responsibility on to, but so that we can

give them a meaning that will outlast us. This requires making

choices and setting definite boundaries so that while we partake in

the natural world, we can make it a tool toward a deeper life that

can bring the world to its fullest potential by joining body to

Raukh and setting apart unto Yâ-hwuah more aspects of life on

earth.

it is connected with keeping the Sabbath, respect for parents,

abstaining from idolatry, temple sacrifice, leaving something for the

poor to glean, and thinking of our neighbors’ welfare.

Page 30: CALLED to BE the NATION of Y'SRA'AL

Leviticus 20:7

"‘So you must set yourselves apart, and be set apart, because I am

Yâ-hwuahyour Aluahiym,

This clearly does not occur by magic. Once He has “washed us”,

we must continue to wash ourselves. We who have seen the results

of not being set apart must be especially committed to being set

apart.

Leviticus 20:8.

"‘and you shall observe My statutes and carry them out; I am Yâ-

hwuahwho is setting you apart.

He sets us apart, but we must enter the open door He gives us, or

what He does for us will still lack results. His orders are not a

smorgasbord from which we can pick and choose; we must “eat” all

that He “puts on our plate” to be strong in every area, for He

knows what is best for us, even when it does not all “taste” pleasant.

it refers to all of Yâ-hwuah’s statutes. So when Kĕpha used this

quote as shorthand, it would make the reader of his day recall all of

these commands and know that this is how Yâ-hwuah expects us to

express the holiness He requires of us.

Yeshayahu_26:2;

Open [the] gates, so a righteous nation that keeps faith may enter!"

A righteous nation: Rabbinical teaching identifies this as the "lost

tribes" of the Northern Kingdom--once they again constitute a

nation. That is the task for today. Keeps faith: or "gives heed to the

truth", "treasures up faithfulness", "protects trust". We guard the

faith by laying down our lives for one another. To be ready to go to

war, one must first be able to trust the one who will be beside him

in the foxhole. We must thus become trustworthy to one another.

But Yâ-hwuah has selected you, and brought you out from the

crucible of iron--from Egypt--to become His own--for the

purpose of being a people [that are His own] prized possession, just

as [is the case] today."

Any wood placed into a furnace for smelting iron would be

consumed immediately. Egypt completely used them up, while

feeding them—like pack animals. Even the products forged of iron

there—chariots—were used to kill them. Now they were going to

a place that would serve them rather than consuming them.

Nothing in the Tabernacle was made of iron; Yâ-hwuah had no use

for it at this point. Prized possession: How awesome! Why throw

away such a rare privilege and settle for something that the nations

all stoop to--nations that He considered a mere drop in the bucket

It is easy to lay aside malice, guile and evil speaking, when we are constantly feeding on the unadulterated milk of Raukhually truth. If you have tasted of the grace of Yâhuwshúa`, you will not want to

sip of the wine of Sodom. Drink, O beloved, eat and drink abundantly, that we may grow, casting aside sinful and childish

things.. As we touch the Living Stone we live, and we touch others who are touching Him, and so a temple begins to grow up. Then we become a Sacred priesthood in the temple, and finally the sacrifices

which are offered within its precincts. If Yâhuwshúa`, is not that Living Stone for you, He will be your undoing. All that Yâ-hwuah

said of His ancient people may be realized by us in and through Yâhuwshúa`,. Thus songs of praise are ever ascending to Him who

has called us into His light. Evil-speaking is a sign of malice and guile in the heart; and hinders our profiting by the word of Yâ-hwuah. A new life needs suitable food. Infants desire milk, and

make the best endeavors for it which they are able to do; such must be a Yâhuwshúa believers desires after the word of Yâ-hwuah. Our

Lord Yâhuwshúa` Yâhuwshúa`, is very merciful to us miserable sinners; and he has a fullness of grace. But even the best of Yâ-

hwuah's servants, in this life, have only a taste of the consolations of Yâ-hwuah. Yâhuwshúa`, is called a Stone, to teach his servants that he is their protection and security, the foundation on which they are built. He is precious in the excellence of his nature, the

dignity of his office, and the glory of his services. All true believers are a Sacred priesthood; sacred to Yâ-hwuah, serviceable to others, endowed with heavenly gifts and graces. But the most Raukhually sacrifices of the best in prayer and praise are not acceptable, except

through Yâhuwshúa` Yâhuwshúa`,. Yâhuwshúa`, is the chief

Page 38: CALLED to BE the NATION of Y'SRA'AL

Corner-stone, that unites the whole number of believers into one everlasting temple, and bears the weight of the whole fabric.

Elected, or chosen, for a foundation that is everlasting. Precious beyond compare, by all that can give worth. To be built on

Yâhuwshúa`, means, to believe in him; but in this many deceive themselves, they consider not what it is, nor the necessity of it, to partake of the salvation he has wrought. Though the frame of the

world were falling to pieces, that man who is built on this foundation may hear it without fear. He shall not be confounded. The believing soul makes haste to Yâhuwshúa`,, but it never finds

cause to hasten from him. All true Yâhuwshúa`,”followers of “THE WAY” are a chosen generation; they make one family, a people

distinct from the world: of another Raukh, principle, and practice; which they could never be, if they were not chosen in Yâhuwshúa`, to be such, and sanctified by his Raukh. Their first state is a state of gross darkness, but they are called out of darkness into a state of

joy, pleasure, and prosperity; that they should show forth the praises of the Lord by their profession of his truth, and their good conduct. How vast their obligations to Him who has made them his people,

and has shown mercy to them! To be without this mercy is a woeful state, though a man have all worldly enjoyments. And there is

nothing that so kindly works repentance, as right thoughts of the mercy and love of Yâ-hwuah. Let us not dare to abuse and affront the free grace of Yâ-hwuah, if we mean to be saved by it; but let all who would be found among those who obtain mercy, walk as his

people.

The Scripture also speaks to the challenge of self-image. It declares that our basic problem with a poor self-image is Raukhually. Kepha speaks very specifically about the need. Although he does not label

it as "self-image," he teaches that the solution to enjoying an

Page 39: CALLED to BE the NATION of Y'SRA'AL

adequate self-image is in living a life that is authentic in order for the communication of self to be adequate. That is exactly what

Kepha is saying about self-image. We cannot create a self-image which does not authentically communicate what we really are or

what our lifestyle actually is. We must communicate the real person and the actual lifestyle. If the self-image is to be good, the life and

the lifestyle must be good. Anything less than that would be deception and hypocrisy. Kepha reveals four specific characteristics of Yâhuwshúa`, life that should be lived and appreciated. In turn,

they will make major positive contributions to our lifestyle.
