Check out our Facebook page for more information and for upcoming events! Or, email Amy Crockett – [email protected] for more information.

As Episcopalians, we are called to Missio Dei- the "sending of God" to help those in need- as well as to working for peace and justice, and sharing God's love in the world.

Our unique location in downtown Rochester surrounded by the Mayo Clinic, gives us the opportunity to minister not only to our parish family but also to visitors to our community. Calvary’s Outreach Core is working deliberately and purposefully to fulfill our long-term mission to serving God's people in our neighborhood.

Be on the look out for Outreach opportunities which are posted on Calvary’s Facebook page, in the weekly service bulletin, The Visitor, on the Outreach bulletin board & in announcements.

CFR rescues excess food from grocery stores and restaurants and distributes it to the needy. Their goal is to reach everyone in Rochester with food insecurity.

Calvary helps with this on the 4th and 5th Mondays of the month. Our volunteers pick up the food from 2 to 4 p.m. and sort it from 3 to 4:30.

If you are interested in learning more about CFR or volunteering, please contact Cindy at [email protected]

Holiday Angel Tree Project

We support our community partners with the Angel Tree Project. Each ornament represents one item of need. The tree will be out on Sunday, November 17th and all gifts need to be returned to the church UNWRAPPED by Sunday, December 8th.

JOY- Justice & Opportunity for Youth

Cooking with JOY!JOY connects with young women and girls in middle school and high school, encouraging healthy relationships and good decision-making skills. JOY strives to build them into leaders in their schools and communities.

Cooking with JOY! Be a grocery helper or a mentor!Nov 18, Jan 20, March 16 & May 11 We purchased these cookbooks for the girls in JOY. We work with the girls to select a menu from this book, and from that selected menu, we organize a cooking class with cooking mentors from our faith community. Our mentors include chefs, dieticians and more. We work not only to increase the cooking and food knowledge for our JOY girls, but also to build relationships.

Project Legacy’s work- “ To provide hope, connections and support to youth and young adults of color who may have experienced poverty, trauma, and homelessness, or are refugees from war-torn countries and who have not had a positive support system, allowing them to transform their lives and become involved members of our community.” Operation NourishOffers nutritious food to Project Legacy youth. Every other week volunteers self-organize to purchase groceries, write caring notes, and drop them off for sorting and delivery.Operation Comfort FoodHelps create a nurturing environment for the Project Legacy healing circles. Volunteers prepare and deliver food, and are encouraged to share in the meal portion of the meeting. Simple connection through food creates a sense of community.Operation EncourageProvides support to Project Legacy students. Each volunteer is matched with a student and sends monthly care packages during the school year. From September through May, simple notes and small gifts let them know someone is thinking of them.Operation ConnectOffers a point of contact and hope for incarcerated Project Legacy youth. Volunteers correspond by writing letters of support and encouragement.
