THIS PROJECT INVOLVES WORK AT BUILDINGS 100, 200 AND 300 ON THE JACK W.
HARMON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CAMPUS.
CLEAN ALL EXTERIOR SURFACES, INCLUDING CONCRETE, MASONRY, METAL,
GYPSUM BOARD, METAL FASCIA, LOW SLOPE ROOF AND STUCCO SURFACES.
REMOVE ALL BUILDING SEALANTS INCLUDING THOSE AT ALL EXPANSION AND
CONSTRUCTION JOINTS, WINDOW AND DOOR FRAMES, METAL PANEL JOINTS,
SHEET METAL AND FLASHING JOINTS, PENETRATIONS AND ANY OTHER
SEALANTS WHERE THEY OCCUR. CLEAN AND REPAIR JOINTS AND CRACKS,
APPLY NEW BACKER ROD AND SEALANT.
EXCAVATE TOP THREE INCHES OF SOIL ADJACENT TO WALLS AT ALL BUILDINGS
FOR APPLICATION OF COATING TO WALLS. REGRADE FOR POSITIVE DRAINAGE
AFTER APPLICATION AND CURE OF COATING.
REPAIR, PREPARE, BLOCKFILL AND COAT ALL CONCRETE MASONRY AND
STUCCO SURFACES.
PREPARE AND PAINT ALL STEEL, STEEL DOORS, STEEL FRAMES, METAL
CANOPIES, METAL DOWNSPOUTS, METAL TRIM, AND EXPOSED FLASHINGS.
PRE-FINISHED METAL PANELS EXCLUDED.
PREPARE, REPAIR, SPOT PRIME AND PAINT ALL PAINTABLE HORIZONTAL
SURFACES SUCH AS EXTERIOR SOFFITS.
REMOVE ALL PARAPET COPINGS. INSPECT EXISTING WOOD NAILERS AND
REPLACE IF DAMAGED. INSTALL NEW SELF-ADHERED BITUMINOUS FLASHING
AND NEW PRE-FINISHED SHEET METAL COPING SYSTEM.
LOW SLOPE ROOF AREA: REPAIR, PREPARE AND PRIME EXISTING ROOFING
SURFACE. CUT AND REPAIR DAMAGED AREAS IF THEY OCCUR. REMOVE ALL
VERTICAL WALL SEALANTS, CLEAN JOINTS AND INSTALL NEW BACKER ROD AND
SEALANT. INSPECT AND PRESSURE TEST ROOF DRAINS AND REPAIR AS
NECESSARY, REPLACE MISSING OR DAMAGED DRAIN BASKETS. APPLY NEW
SEAMLESS ROOF COATING SYSTEM TO ALL PREVIOUSLY COATED SURFACES
INCLUDING THOSE AT THE ROOF, BACKS OF PARAPETS AND HIGH WALLS.
PROVIDE NEW ROOF BLOCKS AND TRAFFIC SURFACES.
PROVIDE NEW CONCRETE SPLASH BLOCKS AT ALL DOWNSPOUT DISCHARGE
LOCATIONS. GRADE TO ASSURE POSITIVE DRAINAGE AWAY FROM SPLASH
BLOCK AND BUILDING.
VERIFY MECHANICAL CURBS TO COMPLY WITH ROOF MEMBRANE WARRANTY
REQUIREMENTS AND ADJUST IF NECESSARY.
REMOVE AND REINSTALL ALL BUILDING MOUNTED SIGNS FOR COATING OF
EXTERIOR WALLS.
APPROPRIATE TRADES PERSON TO MODIFY OR EXTEND ANY MECHANICAL,
ELECTRICAL, PLUMBING, CCTV, TELEPHONE, ANTENNAE, SOUND, OR LIGHTING
FACILITIES, ETC. FOUND TO OBSTRUCT THE WORK OF THIS PROJECT.
THE PROJECT WILL TAKE PLACE DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR WHILE THE CAMPUS
