1. When the air operator assigns a flight crew member to flight duty during a ASB, use the start time of the ASB as the FDP start time in order to establish the maximum FDP available.

2. The Combined ASB/FDP must be scheduled to end within the limits of 700.20, 700.22 or 700.31 as appropriate.3. A crewmember assigned to a split duty:• May increase Combined ASB/FDP by 2:00 above the values in Table 1.• Has a max of 2 sectors that follow the break.

1. Maximum time on SAP is 14:00.2. When the SAP begins during the WOCL, the air operator may increase the maximum Combined SAP/FDP by 50% of the time period

during the WOCL that the flight crew member was not disturbed by the air operator, to a maximum of 2 hours.3. The Max Combined SAP/FDP is in the Table provided.4. infringe upon the WOCL; or • at least 32 hours prior to the beginning of the SAP, if the assigned SAP does

infringe upon the WOCL.

• The air operator shall not shift the designated SAP by more than: o 2 hours earlier or 4 hours later than the preceding SAP; and

o The Time Between Starts of SAP’s must be between 22 and 28 hours.

• The air operator shall not shift the designated SAP by more than: o a total of 8 hours from the original SAP start time in any 7 consecutive days unless

the flight crew member is provided with 2 consecutive days free from all duties within the 7 consecutive days.

o The time from the 1st SAP start and the following SAP start must fall into the following windows, 22 to 28, 44 to 56, 66 to 80, 88 to 104, and 112 to 128.

• If the shift of the start time of the SAP crosses 02:00, the air operator shall not introduce an additional SAP shift unless the flight crew member is provided with 2 consecutive days free from all duties prior to beginning a subsequently shifted SAP. o This can only occur with:

a shift back from the previous SAP starts between 02:00 to 03:59, and the next SAP starts between 00:00 and 01:59; or

a shift forward where the previous SAP starts between 22:01 and 01:59 and the next SAP starts between 02:01 and 05:59.

o The rest after the SAP start that crossed 02:00 will require 2 consecutive days free of duty.

• The air operator shall not shift the start time of the SAP into the flight crew member‘s WOCL without notifying the flight crew member of the SAP at least 24 hours prior to the beginning of the SAP.

• If the shift of the start time of the SAP crosses 02:00, the air operator shall not introduce an additional SAP shift unless the flight crew member is provided with 2 consecutive days free from all duties prior to beginning a subsequently shifted SAP.

• The air operator shall not shift the start time of the SAP into the flight crew member‘s WOCL without notifying the flight crew member of the SAP at least 24 hours prior to the beginning of the SAP.

• The Minimum Rest period between two SAP’s is 10:00.

A Flightcrew member may be assigned an FDP outside a SAP under the following Conditions:• 24 hours notice is given prior to the start of the FDP.• The Time of Notification is not during the period from 22:30 to 07:30• The Flightcrew member remains free of any duty until the start of the FDP, any intervening

duty period assigned to the crewmember must be removed from the schedule.
