CANADIAN ROCKIES

Day 1 Minot, NDToday we begin our tour to the spectacular Canadian Rockies. Our first evening’s stay will be in Minot.

Day 2 Medicine Hat, ABThis morning will enter Canada and make our way to Moose Jaw, which is known for its giant historical murals. Here, we’ll have lunch on our own before we continue our trek to Medicine Hat for our overnight. We’ll stop along the way for a picture stop at the Saskatchewan Nature Center. (B)

Day 3 Calgary, ABToday’s journey takes us across the grain belt of Saskatchewan & Alberta. Tonights entertainment will be at the Calgary Stampede. Brace yourself for the thunder and wonder of the GMC Rangeland Derby and the TransAlta Grandstand Show. The best of chuckwagon racing is followed by an epic stage show, making for a memorable evening. (B)

Day 4 Saskatchewan River CrossingWe will get our first look at the Canadian Rockies this morning. We’ll be climbing in elevation until we arrive in Banff,

where we’ll stop at Bow Falls and Sulphur Mountain. At Sulphur Mountain, we will ride a Gondola to the top of the mountain. As we go through Banff National Park, we will see cool lakes, beautiful meadows, and magnificent waterfalls. We will see the breath taking, blue-green Lake Louise which springs from Victoria Glacier. Tonight, enjoy an included dinner. (B, D)

Day 5 Cranbrook, BCThis morning we will drive to the Columbia Ice-field, the largest mass of ice in the Rocky Mountains. We’ll be taking a Sno-coach ride on the Athabasca Glacier. Lunch will be included at Banff Springs Hotel. We’ll then make our way to British Columbia, crossing the Continental Divide. Then to Cranbrook, our home for the evening. (B, L)

Day 6 Whitefish, MTBefore we leave Cranbrook this morning, we’ll have the chance to see the Canadian Museum of Rail Travel. Then it’s back to the good ole United States as we cross the border in western Montana. Our stay will be in Whitefish, Montana. (B)

Day 7 Shelby, MTThis morning we travel to Glacier National Park, where we’ll see more spectacular scenery and ride on the spectacular Going-To-The-Sun Road. It is widely acclaimed as one of the outstanding, scenic roadways of the world. Lunch will be included along the way. We will cross the Continental Divide through Logan Pass at an altitude of 6,664 feet. Tonight we will treat everyone to a Pizza Party at our hotel. (B, L, D)

Day 8 Minot, NDToday we will be traveling across the plains of Montana aboard the Amtrak. The whole day will be spent on the train as we traverse northern Montana and northern North Dakota to our overnight destination of Minot, ND. (B)

Day 9 HomeOur last day of travel takes us across North Dakota back into familiar Minnesota. The time has come to take those last photographs and say our good-byes to our fellow traveling companions after a wonderful scenic tour. (B)
