WILLIAMS LAKE SALE—MAY 8, 2014 Total receipts 1000 head today. The sale in Williams Lake started off to one powerful

start with an in house video of 200 heifers for Alan Fridlington of Kersley BC. The 1st

liner load of 114 heifers 655 lb. traded to 195.75. The second load of 80 heifers 730 lb.

notched 184.25. 800 head of regular cattle also sold very strong. Stew and Jen Roberts

set the pace for the butcher trade. Their 2285 lb. butcher bulls marked 126.25. Alan &

Marj Furrer from Lone Butte had 1682 lb. butcher cows match 101.00.

Northridge Cattle Co. / Dave & Rosie Wall showcased the feeder cattle sale and

did they do a job. Their big package of 635 lb. Red & Black steers marked 225.50.

their package of 578 lb. s/c saw 237.50, a package of 14 of their heifers 576 lb. notched

206.50. Seven Quarter Charolais / Bob & Nicki saw their heavy 930 lb. steers

trade to 151.50. Corina Thompson with an excellent package of 700 lb. Red & Red

Blaze face steers traded to 218.50. A nice package of 585 lb. heifers met 204.00, and

430 lb. s/c marking 242.00. Hubert & Jean McKee from Quesnel set a pace today. 23

head of their 535 lb. h/c’s, Reds & Blacks powered to 214.00. T Warner’s 593 lb.

Black steers hit 230.00. Keith Cunningham’s 790 lb. steers reached 187.00. Craig

Larson’s 760 lb. replacement heifer s traded to 184.00. John Barkowsky 333 lb.

h/c hit 237.00. Barnett Land and Livestock’s 687 lb. powerful pen of 25 steers notched

130.50. John Barkowsky’s heavy 728 lb. steers from the Spring Lake Ranch pow-

ered to 208.00. Cow/calf pairs today from the Rob Starr Estate / Miocene Simmentals

the top young 3 year old cows with calves at foot traded to 2100.00, the powerful 5

year old cows reached 2325.00 , their fancy replacement heifers registered Simmentals

774 lb. traded to 1425.00. Craig Larson’s Red baldy heifers with their first calf hit

VANDERHOOF SALE—MAY 9, 2014 1412 head of cattle rolled through Vanderhoof yards May 9th sale. Keith Hart

of Prince George started the sale with some powerful 679 lb. Angus x steers

selling for 219.00, Keith’s 606 lb. heifers traded to 197.50. John Bree of

Telkwa sold 633 lb. Black baldy heifers for 200.50 and 707 lb. steers at

208.25. Doug & Lorie Brook from Telkwa sold 664 lb. Angus heifer s for

195.50 and 527 lb. heifers for 196.00 even. Vala Farm sold 881 lb.

steers at 177.25 along with John’s 795 lb. steers on Team sold for 182.00.

Dallaine Ranch sold 30 steers in one shot weighing 834 lb. sold for 181.00.

Always Angus/ Kevin McCreary sold some fancy replacement type heif-

ers 840 lbs. traded to 187.00. HRH Ranch Ventures from Burns Lake sold

585 lb. heifers for 198.00 and Ken & Vicky Walters 517 lb. heifers traded to

210.50. Lone Fir Ranch sold 645 lb. Rwf heifer s for 189.00 and 824 lb.

steers at 181.00. Bill Evans from Fort Fraser sold 627 lb. Rwf heifers for

207.00. Muir Stock Ranch 749 lb. heifer s sold to 189.00. Cow/Calf pair s

from Greg Bennett were good young 3 & 4 year old cow/calf Red Angus X

sold from 1800.00 to 2475.00 per pair.

Slaughter cows 95.00 to 115.00. Slaughter bulls 100.00 to 126.00.

Another powerful sale today in Kamloops as 460 head of cattle were sold.

Eric Bergstrand put the fire into our butcher trade with 2240 lb.

butcher bulls at 125.25. Lee Creek Holdings saw their heavy 1560 lb.

butcher cows trade to 101.25. Glen Frankie from Beaverdell had 1945 lb.

butcher bulls power to 127.00, their 1545 lb. butcher cows topped our

trade at 105.25. Big Rock Farms from Celista saw their 1460 lb. butcher

cows notch 104.75. Wayne & Jill Hughes had 1600 lb. butcher cows

mark 103.25 with 1164 lb. heifers topping 125.50. The Squaw Valley

Ranch also from Lumby presented 1465 lb. butcher cows trading to

105.00. Darrell Squair also had 1366 lb. cows at 104.75. Justin Pre-

bushewski had 483 lb. Black Angus h/c’s from Lumby trade to 215.00

and 480 lb. Black Angus s/c mark 231.00. Fred Bircher of McBride saw

his 765 lb. Red steers hit 193.00, the 675 lb. steers reached 218.25, the

fancy 650 lb. Red heifers traded to 194.00, the 545 lb. heifers topped

216.00. Greg Nyman’s 839 lb. Black steers reached 180.75, the 780 lb.

steers rolled to 190.25, and the 670 lb. steers hit 217.75. Oliksandr

Lytvynenko from Lumby had 545 lb. s/c top 232.00. Larry Cochlan

from Cache Creek had cow/calf pairs trade to 2300.00.
