TRANSCRIPT
From the Principal Dear Parents and Carers, Welcome to our Term 4 Week 4 newsletter. Thank you to our P&C who organised an extremely fun night at Bogan Bingo on Saturday. I was disappointed by the poor support that was shown to the event considering it was the major fundraising event for the year. Our local businesses supported the event well and some people won some fabulous prizes. Those who won raffle prizes on the night but weren’t in attendance, will be notified by the school in the coming days. Those that attended had a great night and a lot of laughs. Unfortunately, we only just managed to cover our costs. We have a huge supply of lost property accumulated again. Jumpers with names will be returned to their owners and those un named will be taken home and washed and resold through the office. Please make sure you put names on all school items so that they can be returned to students. Please encourage your children to look for their lost items if they return home without them. We have started out Kindergarten Transition program for 2019 today and it is just lovely to see all our new students and families as they come in to get to know our great school. If you know someone who is starting school next year, but hasn’t completed enrolment forms, please encourage them to so they can be included in the activities during the rest of this week. We are also working on developing class lists for 2019, in the hope that we can begin the transition to new classes in the last 2 weeks of school this term. If your child/ren will not be attending Grahamstown PS next year (apart from Year 6 students), please let
the school know as soon as possible. Alternatively, if you know of new families coming, please encourage them to contact the school and let us know if they haven’t already. The Life Education Van will be at school in Week 6. Please return your notes and money so all children can be involved in this very valuable learning experience. Have a great fortnight ahead. Michele Winn Principal Grahamstown Public School – Where together we grow with pride, learn for life and strive to be the best that we can be!
