OUR VALUES
What started as one man with a
ute, a wheelbarrow and a vision,
has become an award-winning
construction company with a rich 20-
year history.
Starting in Darwin in 1997, managing
director Brett Dixon began with concreting
driveways and paths. Before long he had
completed a kerbing project at the Darwin
International Airport and expanded his business into
Asia.
Through his personable nature, unwillingness to
compromise on quality and strong work-ethic, Brett has
built Jaytex Construction into a company defined by
exceptional financial capacity with a reputation for being
fair, cooperative and flexible with contractual relations.
In 2015 Brett handed over the reins to young business
partner Matthew Moss. Matthew has over a decade’s
experience in providing strategic and operational advice
to large corporations and smaller enterprises. Matthew
began his career as a Chartered Accountant. For nine
years he worked at a strategic level within his clients’
business, providing the full range of accounting and
taxation advisory services, detailed budgeting, business
modelling, reporting, system reviews, stock control,
business restructuring, strategic planning, HR, and
profitability analysis.
Matthew has been involved in buying and selling
properties, property feasibility studies and establishing
appropriate business and taxation entity structures.
Matthew has significant expertise in the property, wine,
and viticulture industries and possesses an astute
commercial acumen that he applies to every project.
Matthew is a habitual learner, and is a licensed real
estate agent, holds a diploma in Project Management,
Cert IV in Work Health Safety, and has no plans to stop
learning.
Matthew has built on Brett’s existing achievements and
progressed the company by increasing governance,
documenting and implementing new safety and quality
systems and adopting new operating software.
These days Jaytex Constructions is building key multi-
million-dollar infrastructure and is a leading Territory
business and local employer. It’s a legacy we take
pride in. The core company values – trust, integrity,
transparency and family spirit, are the same now as
when Brett established the business. This is testament
to the culture of respect and dedication you’ll find at
Jaytex Construction.

QUALITY & SAFETY
BUILDING TO LAST
Jaytex operates a Quality
Management System that
aligns with ISO9001:2016. We
ensure the construction process
is planned and controlled for all
projects undertaken and develop a
unique Project Control Plan detailing de-
sign control, traceability measures, testing
controls and auditing schedules.
We utilise the Procore platform as our cloud-based
integrated Construction Management program. With over
a million users, Procore is the most used construction
management software in the world. It enables our Proj-
ect Management team to access a live feed of critical
risks providing greater detail and accurate information.
Our Site teams can record and report incidents and
critical information on the spot, enabling real time deci-
sions to rectify and take immediate action. Procore also
assists in the quality control of projects including design
control, defects management, meeting minutes, RFIs
and specification management.
BUILDING SAFELY
We believe safety is everyone’s responsibility. Our Proj-
ect Managers attend regular onsite inspections, forging
our safety culture from the top down.
Jaytex Construction has a dedicated HESQ compliance
administrator who is responsible for the implementa-
tion, management and review of our safety and quality
processes.
For every project we create a unique Work Health and
Safety plan to identify, manage and mitigate risk for the
specific site, project, materials, and machinery. All our
safety processes comply with AS 4801.
Jaytex Construction’s Work Health, Safety & Welfare
(WHSW) Policy recognises our moral and legal respon-
sibility to provide a safe and healthy work environment
for employees, contractors, customers and visitors. Our
policy meets the Work Health and Safety Act 2011,
Work Health and Safety (National Uniform Legislation)
Regulations 2017 and the Workers Rehabilitation and
Compensation Legislation and Amendment Act 2015.
We are Federal Safety Accredited.
ENVIRONMENTALSUSTAINABILITY
BUILDING FOR THE FUTURE
We live and work in a tropical paradise and value the
environments that we build in.
Jaytex Construction is committed to conserving the
environment for future generations and our Environmen-
tal policy sets out our commitment to reducing environ-
mental harm. Regular staff and contractor training is
conducted to ensure we all understand our responsibili-
ties and statutory obligations.
Unique Environment Management Plans that meet the
recognised standards of ISO 14001:2016 are created
for every Jaytex construction project. The tailored plan
ensures everything – from soil erosion, waste, noise,
dust, weed, and water management – is considered
and risk is minimised.
We lead by example and encourage all our
subcontractors to respect the environment,
support these initiatives and reduce their
environmental footprint.

FEATURED PROJECTS
Take a look at our projects and ask us how we can build you something of enduring value.
Darwin Corporate Park is already being hailed by
the business media as setting a new standard in
commercial hubs in northern Australia. Top-flight
companies have jumped at the opportunity to secure
their tenancy in the most strategic location in Darwin.
Consisting of of eight 3-story buildings and 300 secure
basement car parks, Darwin Corporate Park solidly
provides for Darwin’s growth.
Jaytex’s impressive financial capacity, coupled with
experience in fund management and cost control,
instilled confidence in the client. Partnering with trusted
contractors, such as national consulting firm, Lucid,
who undertook the electrical, mechanical and hydraulic
design, Jaytex confidently delivered the project within
budget to the required quality standards.
With a connective, free-flowing style, the fully
landscaped park delivers dual benefits, offering
attractive highway curbside appeal for prospective
tenants and seamless business-to-business dealings
within the hub.
This iconic Park was not without its challenges. To meet
deadlines Jaytex had to excavate basements during
the Darwin wet season. Darwin gets almost six times
more rain than the southern states meaning prospective
basements turn into muddy swimming pools. Jaytex
engineered a solution, using a continuous pumping
system to remove the water as it fell. Special measures
to control sediment and other environmental issues
were also identified and carried out by our highly trained
team.
Newest technology provides uninterrupted connectivity
with NBN throughout. A 5.5 star NABERS rating is the
aim and the expectation for this exceptional build and
Jaytex are proud to have poured our blood, sweat and
skills into Darwin’s future.

Working intimately with the client, Jaytex construction
brought to life a seamlessly integrated solution for
NT Motorcycle Centre’s new office, showroom and
warehouse in this design and construct project.
Jaytex Construction delivered a sparkling multi-level
retail and office space and a workshop complete with
an innovative air-conditioning solution, an internal used-
oil collection point and exhaust removal system.
Jaytex Construction proved their willingness to go above
and beyond to deliver projects to clients’ tight deadlines
when the Epoxy Seal for the NT Motorcycle Centre’s
polished concrete floors was delayed. What did they do?
The team jumped on a plane to Sydney and brought it
back in check-in luggage, much to the confusion of the
airline staff.
With their new purpose-built space the NT Motorcycle
Centre has increased its productivity, has room to grow

exact specifications, infused with local knowledge and
understanding. Jaytex were already mobilised on site
to deliver road upgrade and servicing works and were
able to seamlessly transition from implementation of lot
servicing and road works into the Caltex construction
works.
Caltex Australia recognised that Jaytex are well versed
in the entire development process and were able to
fast track several of the processes in undertaking this
project. In addition, Jaytex was able to ensure seamless
integration of Caltex design requirements with the
subdivision works – Using one Construction company
for all works required in this area minimised and, in
some cases, avoided delays.

Jaytex is passionate about up-skilling local people and
creating a more equitable construction industry in the
Northern Territory.
Our trainee and apprenticeship program provides the
opportunity for young Indigenous people interested in
a career in construction to learn real work skills in the
industry. We make it a priority to provide employment
opportunities, training and integration of local
Indigenous people for every project we undertake. We
currently have six indigenous carpentry apprentices
and one construction administration trainee whom we’re
supporting though trade school.
