1. Mitral valve (EPSS) 2. LV myocardial walls3. Relative RVOT : aortic root : LA4. 2D assessment of MV and AV
Images:
Aim to capture an image including MV, proximal LV (excluding apex), and AV
Interpretations:
Eye Ball of LV function. Good LVF: 1. EPSS < 0.8cm2. Myocardial excursion3. Myocardial thickening
Troubleshooting:
Upright positioning can be challenging. Consider supine and left lateral decubitus. If difficult windows explore area to find patient’s specific cardiac window
