Impart Featured Group IS Chivalry Dead?
The Society of Classic Gentlemen
Today more than ever there is a need for people in the world, who are mannerable. There need to be people who can present themselves in a way their demeanor and actions are commendable. The Society of Classic Gentlemen is one such group attempting to teach young, middle-aged and the more seasoned adults to be gentlemen. The men who attend are interested in learning how to become the classic gentlemen for their professional careers, and personal lives, demonstrating it in their conduct, appearance, and actions. Mr. Paul Rainwater has established The Society of Classic Gentlemen, with the inquiry and assistance of a young Chiropractor, Dr. Grant Dennis. It has been with Dr. Dennis' encouragement, urging, and presentation of the need to train him and other young men in the art of transforming them into a gentleman that the Society of Classic Gentlemen was formed. Paul Rainwater is well qualified, working in the clothing industry for over 40 years. His passion and expertise for dressing men, providing excellent advice about the importance of appearance internally, showing it in action their good character and externally how they present themselves to the public, his years of work has cumulated to this very moment. It makes Mr. Rainwater proud to leave his legacy of not only dressing men but helping improve their lives for the better. The Society of Classic Gentlemen has grown to over 30 men who want to develop and learn more about how to become a better person. These men learn the “Core Values of The Society of Classic Gentlemen; it is referred to as the four (4) Cardinal Virtues.” These Cardinal Virtues are Prudence, Justice, Fortitude, and Temperance. The Cardinal Virtues define the group, guiding them to evolve into a brotherhood,
3
holding them accountable to reach their full potential. As these men value manners and common courtesy they are choosing to become their best selves, together with the support of their leader, Mr. Rainwater, they strive to be men of virtue. According to Mr. Rainwater, virtue comes from the word meaning, man. He said, “The gentleman is a modern day, knight, a champion who respects himself, uplifts women and lives a life of chivalry, integrity, and service. Chivalry is not dead; it is alive and well.” To learn more about Mr. Paul Rainwater and the Society of Classic Gentlemen, contact Mr. Paul Rainwater and listen to his September 12, 2017, Triumphant In Life (TIL) Interview at http://www.drcarondunn.com/media-triumphant-in-life-til. Many Americans are using the Healthcare Marketplace to purchase insurance, as mandated by the Affordable Care Act (ACA), signed into law by President Barack Obama. For many, insurance would be out of reach for those who have pre-existing conditions, and without government assistance to pay for all or a portion of it, making the premiums affordable than they would be without this assistance. Most times health insurance is life-saving for those in need. Health insurance has made it possible to avoid catastrophic events that could have been devastating to people who once were unable to afford health insurance, before ACA was passed. Prior to the law, insurance companies placed caps and limitations for some current medical conditions. Just in case you are one of many Americans with health insurance through the Marketplace, or who need it, open enrollment begins November 1, 2017-December 15, 2017. The plans sold through the open enrollment period begin on January 1, 2017. Check out the Marketplace Application Check List at https://marketplace.cms.gov/outreach-and-

TIL Kenron’s Corner: TIL Word: ~ Forgiveness My TIL word is forgiveness, the reason for this word is because people make a lot of
mistakes and it is ok not to be perfect. It is always good to be compassionate to
people when they mess up, because everyone makes mistakes. Remember to forgive
others as you would have them to forgive you. And that is the end of my Triumphant
In Life Kenron’s Corner for this quarter. Thank you for reading.

Just In Case You Missed It
County Judge Joseph K. Wood, Author, Dr. Caron Dunn & Theresa Cates, Illustrator
On July 1, 2017, County Judge Joseph K. Wood, Author of Joey’s Journey: Saving Joey – A True-Life Story with the illustrator of the book Theresa Cates participated in a book reading and signing at the Pyramid Art, Books & Custom Framing store. This is one book in a series of several children’s books inspired by County Judge Wood’s personal story. He was a foundling, found on a doorstep. Through this experience he has learned about his rescuer, was placed in an orphanage for a short while as a baby and finally being adopted; his story is truly a unique one. The illustrator, Theresa Cates is a gifted self-taught artist, with no formal training, as a child she drew stick people as a way of escape from her home life. Ms. Cates suffered extreme abuse in the home, but through much soul-searching and prayer, as an adult, she was finally able to forgive the abuser. This gift of drawing and painting was enhanced through those experiences, and she looks forward to other projects with County Judge Woods. This first experience, going from canvas to book illustration has allowed Ms. Cates to take her gift to the next level. The book, Joey’s Journey: Saving Joey – A True-Life Story, by County Judge Joseph Wood, Author, and illustrator Theresa Cates can be found and purchased on www.Amazon.com or purchased from the Pyramid Art, Books & Custom Framing on 1001Wright Avenue, Little Rock, Arkansas.

Impart: Understanding Leadership Book Spotlight~ Author Dr. Caron Dunn – Highlight Article
Successful Leader’s Pay the Cost to Be the Boss
(An excerpt from the book) There are many sacrifices these leaders make as they walk up the ladder of success. It
comes along with the job, the many responsibilities they have; often lead to no life
outside of work and little or virtually no time with the family. A successful leader can
find leadership to be a lonely place. There are things beyond their forces they cannot
control, and it can be frustrating for them at times. Often this lack of time can cause friction at home and stress for the leader. How do these successful leaders cope with
work-life balance? The majority of these leaders were candid enough to say, not very
well and for some, it remains a struggle. Many of these leaders learned the lessons of
how working too much has a huge effect on their health. These successful leaders
mentioned several ways to deal with work-life balance: Below is a list.
1. The leaders make time for the family through scheduling time or to do leisurely
activities.
2. When home, there is a "no" work zone, unless it is an emergency. These leaders will
wait until the next workday to handle the issue(s).
3. Due to health scares, some leaders were forced to have a greater work-life balance. A
conscious decision was made for these leaders to save their lives and work fewer hours to enjoy life.
4. Successful leaders are adamant about taking care of their self and make it a point to
live a more balanced life without sacrifice to their home life. This division leaves more
time for rest and leisurely activities.
