Becasue of our commitment to employee development, all Osmose Foremen begin employment with a comprehensive training program that provides classroom and on-the-job field instruction conducted by a highly-experienced and skilled Osmose Foreman. Foreman Trainees actively participate in the day-to-day work program with a typical field crew. The length of training depends upon the service and/or the individual. Training sites vary geographically.

FOREMAN TRAINING

When a newly-appointed foreman is given specific job responsibilities, he or she may be assigned a company-owned truck. Each truck is fully-equipped with all of the specialized tools and safety equipment required to perform the work.

Typical Foreman Job Duties and Responsibilities Include:• Hiring and training a team of efficient and reliable crew members• Establishing a systematic plan to perform and complete a specific utility service contract• Completing and managing field reports, payroll, and other administrative records• Monitoring and ensuring crew safety, quality, and production standards• Maintaining excellent working relationships with customer representatives• Maintaining the company truck, equipment, tools, and computer

Once a Foreman and crew have started work on a contract, they will be in routine contact with Osmose supervisory personnel for assistance in solving field problems and reviewing procedures. These routine visits also provide management with the opportunity to evaluate each Foreman’s personal development and crew performance.
