A true sense of security!Imagine, if you will, when funeral homes become victims of pilferage and vandalism.
Brad Conley, owner of Carter Funeral Home
Brad Conley, the owner of Carter Funeral Home, a large funeral home located in the North Shore - North Channel area of Houston, has been a leader in the fight against pilferage and vandalism in the neighborhood to protect not only the facility, but also visiting families. After a few incidents, Conley has been especially concerned about the mayhem in the neighborhood.
“I have a commitment to the families, the employees and the business. I have to take care of them and make sure they are safe,” he said.
To fulfill his commitment, Conley installed Coreveillance’s state-of-the-art video surveillance system to enhance security and improve loss control for Carter Funeral Home.Managing two juxtapose facilities, Conley is in charge of coordinating all funeral arrangements, maintaining administrative activities, as well as assisting families through difficult times. “We want to treat every family the way we want to be treated,” Conley said, “people always complement the good service we’ve been providing.”However, despite those efforts, Carter Funeral Home unfortunately had its fair share of pilferage and vandalism.
“It started with flower pots being smashed,” Conley said, “then it got more serious when
people stole the copper lines from the A/C and sold it to the scrap yard. Weeks after, they
came back and took all of the air conditioners outside of the building.”
Conley’s first effort was to install several surveillance cameras to monitor the property. However, it was soon proven ineffective because “the monthly payment for the surveillance service was ridiculously expensive”, he added, “and the picture quality was subpar.”
“When we first tried other products and services, the monthly
payment for surveillance service was ridiculously expensive, and the picture quality was subpar.”
A true sense of securityAfter his second effort with Coreveillance, Conley was amazed by the picture quality of its cameras. “The best thing is it provides crispy picture quality in twilight and even at night time,” he said. “The video management is very efficient; it is easy to navigate through, especially when I want to review an incident.”Insisting that Coreveillance’s video surveillance system has increased the security of Carter Funeral Home, Conley advised other businesses to never wait until bad things happen to realize its necessity. “I’m glad I have installed Coreveillance’s surveillance system here,” he added, “go with the absolute best in video surveillance. Coreveillance provides a true sense of security.”
There may be some people who feel that Conley could be overacting to isolated cases among many thousands of peaceful funerals.“Some people might think that,” he said, “but if you see smoke, there’s a pretty good chance that a fire is there somewhere.”
