Goa's history goes back
20,000–30,000 years. Early Goan
society underwent radical changes
when aboriginal locals and migrants
amalgamated, forming the base of
early Goan culture.
In the third century B.C. however, Goa
united under the Mauryan Empire,
ruled by the Buddhist emperor,
Ashoka of Magadha. After several
centuries of feudalism between the
Kadambas, Chalukyas and Adil Shah’s
empire, Goa was finally conquered by
the Portuguese in 1510. For over four
centuries Goa was ruled by the
Portuguese who introduced western
ideologies, religion, art, architecture
and music into Goan life.
Goa is India's richest state with a GDP
per capita two and a half times that of
the country as a whole. It was ranked
the best placed state by the Eleventh
Finance Commission for its
infrastructure and ranked on top for
the best quality of life in India by the
National Commission on Population
Renowned for its beaches, places of
w o r s h i p a n d w o r l d h e r i t a g e
architecture, Goa is a much sought-
after investment destination and
owning an old Portuguese home is a
luxury reserved only for a privileged
few.

Casa Ana was constructed in 1906 whilst Goa
was under Portuguese rule. The original
inhabitants of the villa were the Correia family
which emigrated from Karachi, Pakistan to settle
in Moira, Goa. Mickey Correia, a talented pianist
and musician played alongside bands such as
the Beatles, and accompanied Indian legends
such as Pandit Ravi Shankar. During his musical
career, Mickey also performed for her Royal
Highness, the Queen of England. Another
resident of the villa was the legendary hockey
player Franklin Correia, who took the Indian
hockey team to the London Olympics in 1948.
Skilled workmanship, careful material selection
and superior specifications are the hallmark of
this restored masterpiece. Creatively conceived
with comfort and convenience for the modern day
family, this development is styled such that
homeowners may enjoy living in a heritage villa,
yet have all the luxurious conveniences one
would expect in a hotel. Set in approximately
1650 sq.mts of landscaped, freehold land, it
ensures privacy and exclusivity.
