The Demolition Delay Overlay District will delay demolition perhtl~f~ntj'} ""· the boundaries of the overlay. A delay of 10 days will allow staff 1o PtJ 3:

1 determine if the structure meets the following criteria: 1) 50 year~~'[, o.lder ' 9 and 2) meets one of the following criteria: a) located in a Nation~ r~istecL[ District; b) be designated as a Recorded Texas Historic Land mar ;- ~))tfffJlJN~~ designated as a State Archeological Landmark; d) be designated as a National Historic Landmark; e) be listed as a significant building in the 2003 Downtown Dallas Architecturally Significant Properties Survey; or f) be listed as a contributing structure in the 1 994 Hardy-Heck-Moore Survey. If the structure does not meet both of the criteria, the demolition permit will be processed. If the property meets both of the criteria, a 45-day delay will be placed on the demolition permit. During the 45-day delay, staff and interested parties will meet with the property owner to discuss alternatives to demolition. If the property owner desires to demolish the structure after the 45-day delay, the demolition permit will be processed.

Please refer to the next page of this notice for a general location of the property proposed to be included in the Demolition Delay Overlay District. The cross-hatched area is the property included in this proposal. Your property will not be a part of the Demolition Delay Overlay District if it is outside of the cross-hatched area. If your property is outside the cross-hatched area, you received a notice of the hearing because your property is within the area of notification as required by law.

El Distrito de demora de demolici6n retrasara permisos de demolici6n dentro de los limites de Ia superposici6n. Un retraso de 10 dlas permitira que el personal determine si Ia estructura cumple con los siguientes criterios: 1) 50 a nos o mas y_ 2) se encuentra con uno de los siguientes criterios: a) situado en un distrito de registro nacional; b) ser serialado como un Registro de terrene hist6rico de Texas; c) ser sefialado como un terrene arqueol6gico del estado; d) designado como monumento hist6rico nacional; e) estar en Ia lista como un edificio importante en el centro de Ia ciudad de Dallas por Ia encueste de propiedades arqueologicas del 2003; o f) en Ia lista como una estructura que contribuye en Ia encuesta de 1994 Hardy-Heck-Moore. Si Ia estructura no cumple con ambos de los criterios, se tramitara el permiso de demolici6n. Si Ia propiedad cumple con ambos de los criterios, un retraso de 45 dias se colocara en el permiso de demolici6n. Durante el retraso de 45 dias, el personal y el grupo interesado se reuniran con el propietario para discutir alternativas a Ia demolici6n. Si el propietario quiere demoler Ia estructura despues del retardo de 45 dias, se tramitara el permiso de demolici6n.
