MASSACHUSETTS CASE STUDIES

CAMBRIDGE HOUSING C30

• The Cambridge Housing Authority wanted a to become a

little greener so they installed a Capstone C30. The unit

provides 29kw and 175,000 btu’s for their family housing

facility.

MMA C65 UNITS

Massachusetts Maritime Academy installed 3 Capstone

65kw grid connect units in a major cadet dorm complex at

their Buzzards Bay site. The turbines provide 1.4 mmbtu of

heat and 177kw of steady power throughout the year.

NATIONAL GRID C65 UNIT

• NationalGrid’s LNG facility in Dorchester had plenty of gas

available for a Capstone C65 grid connect unit. They now

have 60kw of usable new power and 380,000 btu’s of

thermal for production.

VA HOSPITAL C200 UNIT

When the Northampton VA Hospital wanted low emissions

and quiet operation, they selected the Capstone C200. The

unit will provide the Hospital with 180kw and over 1 million

btu’s of usable heat for their newest facility.

SOUTH SHORE HOSPITAL C1000

• With help from NationalGrid, South Shore Hospital in

Weymouth installed a Capstone C1000. The unit provides

over 2000 lbs an hour of steam at 75lbs and over 900kw of

power.
