Using our considerable expertise in providing refrigeration and building services solutions to the food retail environment, we have supported the high street supermarket chain Morrisons’ expansion into the convenience market by way of their new M local stores. Space Engineering Services delivered the complete refrigeration and mechanical works, undertaking the design, project management, installation and commissioning, in addition to the design and manufacture of the refrigeration plant to support the site.

Our first class engineering service was truly demonstrated on these projects as the design and installation for the mechanical and refrigeration works had to meet specific energy efficiency criteria, measured using the energy performance standards of BRUKL and SBEM.

Grafton Street,

Manchester Space Engineering Services successfully delivered the combined mechanical and refrigeration package for the 4,323sq ft store, within a tight 11 week schedule.

The Grafton Street store, targeted at the largely student population with its fresh produce and great value, opened its doors on 16th January 2012 and is the third M local store from Morrisons’ well publicised convenience store expansions plans.

Upton Rocks, Widnes Space Engineering Services also completed the turnkey refrigeration and mechanical package for the newly developed M local store in Upton Rocks, Widnes.

Opening on Monday 12th November 2012 at the newly built district centre, the project was completed in just four weeks, on time and to budget.
