Case Study: VEC Civil Engineering About the Client Established in 1994, VEC Civil Engineering Pty Ltd (VEC) initially earned its reputation for construction excellence as a bridge builder. Over the next two decades, the firm’s experience and expertise expanded to encompass every facet of civil and structural engineering – in Australia and overseas. In 2014, VEC became a wholly owned subsidiary of Downer.
Client Objective To reflect the company’s growth and enhanced capabilities as part of the Downer Group of companies, VEC required a new, professional, user-friendly, industry leading website.
Key to achieving the client objective was retaining VEC’s respected brand values of value-for-money and Innovation and Excellence while also maintaining consistency with Downer Group sibling, Mineral Technologies. Above all, the client needed the new website live – very quickly – in order to meet an international conference deadline.
iFactory Solution To maintain brand consistency, the VEC website features strong branding elements from the style guide and leveraging the layout and functionality of the recently redeveloped Mineral Technologies website (also by iFactory) the new website met VEC’s objectives and their timeline.
