Inturjoven is Empresa Andaluza de Gestion de Instalaciones y Turismo Juvenil S.A. integrated in the Andalusian Youth Institute and an organization which belongs to the Junta de Andalucia which works supporting the administration and society in general, in the development of youth and other groups with social priority. Inturjoven, among other projects, is responsible for the management of the network of youth hostels in Andalucia, currently made up of one head office for reservations and 17 hostels spread among Andalucia. SITUATION Intujoven’s problem is very peculiar as they are in charge of the management of the Andalucia’s youth hostel network, which has their hostels very much scattered around the territory, and they have to control their reservation management with all the different services they offer, therefore, being in charge of what would be considered a hotel chain. With the computer system they had they could not achieve the required integration and thus, could not obtain the expected results. SOLUTION In order to meet Inturjoven’s requirements, Sistemas de Gestion developed and customized an integrated solution based on Atennea Incoming for a complex centralized reservation management and NAVIHOTEL for the management of the various establishments. Through a single data base located at the Head Office for Reservations, the information was centralized, thereby allowing the different hostels reach via remote connections. This freed the hostels from having to each install a data base, with all it implies; costs, maintenance, etc. BENEFITS Inturjoven obtained a solution which met their needs for integration in the management of the various business processes: centralized management of reservations, exploitation of the establishments and a consolidated financial accounting analysis. Maintenance costs were drastically reduced due to the centralized data base with remote connections to each establishment, and the consolidation of information offered a strong capacity for analysis and thus the capacity to optimize the services offered. Given that Atennea-FinAgencia is developed over Microsoft Dynamics Navision, it meant an intuitive and easy user interface, as well as the integration with Microsoft office tools, which gave agility to daily operations.
