A message from our Director

Dear Parents and Friends,

Welcome to Creative Children’s Centers Annual Auction. We enter the worldof adults to support the world of children. A place, a school, they call theirown. A special place full of great joy! Where the paint and paper never runout. Where the chairs are “my size!” Where the bikes fly through the airlike racecars. A place where songs are sung and bodies dance. Where tearsand laughter, pictures and clay, dress-ups and pretend play are the languagesspoken. A place where all children are welcome and belong.

It is with your support that CCC is able to exist. It is with your help thatCCC maintains its excellence and unique character. We believe in the ideathat every child has three teachers: the parent, the teacher and thecommunity in which the child grows. Together we must unite to form afoundation of commitment to our littlest of citizens. Creative Children’sCenter’s staff and the parents who teach by our side create a loving programin which children can bloom.

At CCC we are small but feel the strength of many for it is a worthwhilepurpose for which we work. This year’s auction takes on even deeper meaningfor the staff, for we are hoping to visit the schools in Reggio Emilia Italythis spring. Your participation tonight will bring us closer to that goal.

I thank all who have spent so many hours putting together this event. Yourcommitment has been inspiring. I thank you for the children who cannot behere tonight. I thank you for their paint of many colors and for the smileseach day brings. We thank your for our school.

A Message from our Parent Director

Welcome parents, friends, family and distinguished guests. As most of you know, our annual auction is the school’s most important fundraiser. The revenues areused to keep tuition costs stable, help with operating costs, teacher benefits andschool improvements. We could not have grown from our original 20 families in1990 without successful fundraising.

A heartfelt thank you goes to Kathleen Toon and the wonderful team of volunteerswho made this year’s auction possible. We also recognize the importance of yourfamily members who work behind the scenes supporting you during these weeks ofpreparation. We know that it takes a village to raise a child, and we thank you.

We are also grateful to our generous sponsors and donators. Early childhoodeducation is such an important investment, and we appreciate the support of ourcommunity.

Tonight, let’s celebrate everything great about being a child. Let’s celebrate theseprecious children who bring us all together. Let’s celebrate the future we are allsailing into.

How to Bid

Every person receives a bid number upon registering at the check-in table on auction night. Onlyregistered bidders may participate in the auction.

To bid on a silent auction item, clearly write your name and bid number on the bid sheet as well asthe amount you want to pay for the item. The bid amount needs to be at least the stated minimumbid amount listed on the bid sheet. Subsequent bids must be in increments of the stated minimumraise amount.

To sign up for an easel party, clearly write your name and bid number on the easel party sign-upsheet. You may reserve as many spaces as you want for a specific party as long as there is spaceavailable.

If multiple people raise their cards, the bid will go to the person the auctioneer sees first. The auctioneer will determine when to endthe bidding. The highest bid wins.

If you win

The winning bidder for a silent auction item is the person who has entered the highest written bidat closing time for the item. This person has the final authority to determine the winning bid and thisdecision is final. The winner will be highlighted on the carbon copy bid sheet taped to the tablelisted on the bid sheet.

If you are the winner of a live auction item, the auctioneer will announce your bid number as the bidwinner.
