“The rumors of Drifter Sister Catch the Wind Tours coming to an end are not highly exaggerated!”

In fact they are true. The difficult decision has been made, and 2020 will be Catch the Wind Tours’ last year.

Awwww, I’m sorry. You say you haven’t taken all the Drifter Sister tours you wanted to? Well then, let’s get

busy out there! Most of the Catch the Wind tours, past and present, will be offered either next year or in 2020.

They will fill up fast, so I suggest you act now to secure your spots.

For 2019 we’ve got AFRICA, CUBA, and CROATIA/MONTENEGRO – probably the last chance for these

three, so you should consider jumping on if they’ve been on your bucket list. You have two more chances for

TUSCANY, FRANCE, and SPAIN, as they will be offered both in 2019 and 2020. There will be one last chance

for popular IRELAND – in 2020 and already filling up fast. And finally, I have two promises to fulfill before I’m

done: ISRAEL/JORDAN and GREECE/TURKEY, both in 2020. Yes, we’re doing Turkey, as I feel the way we

do it and where we go is safe. Oh yes, and you have one last chance at enjoying IXTAPAN SPA in Mexico, this

December 2-9 (2018) – a very special experience everyone should do once in their lifetime.

and lodges increase their fees and rates annually.

you to compare it, apples to apples, with others out

there. I will come in lower – without compromising

quality, such as exclusive luxury lodges, 4-passenger,

private safari vehicles, included extras (such as

gratuities), and more. Why? Same simple reason as with

other Drifter Sister Catch the Wind Tours. It’s because

my overhead is way lower than the others.

There are three segments being offered. You can do

just one, two, or all three.

KENYA WILDLIFE SAFARI DURING MIGRATION

Here is the basic two week safari for everyone. Filled

with game drives & guaranteed sightings of the Big Five,

and much, much more. Samburu has animals seen

nowhere else, such as the gerenuk and Grevy’s Zebra.

In the Massai Mara we will witness the famed migration

of wildebeest and zebra. And with the migration comes

the predators (think big cats). Here you will see them all.

BOTSWANA/VICTORIA FALLS

My favorite place to visit in all the world is Botswana’s

Okavango Delta. An experience like no other. Luxury

‘digs,’ boat and walking game drives, and the Falls...

Awe-inspiring is an understatement.

Although the rules are changing, it is still possible for

people to visit Cuba. For the first two trips we managed

to get there before the onslaught. Want to join me on

this final DS trip, while it’s still reasonably pristine?

Twelve days, on a coast to coastjourney, visiting the iconic Havanahotspots, plus Trinidad, Baracoa,

Santiago de Cuba, and Camaguey.Never heard of some of these places?Neither had I – because it was off limits.Now it’s possible to see for ourselves theenchanting beauty of the countryside,learn about the culture, interact with thefriendly people, taste the unique cuisine,and so much more.

Visits to Cubamust still have a cultural focus, andcan only be arranged by licensedoperators. So I am going through oneof the best, with more than 20 yearsexperience in doing this type of tour.

We will staymostly in local casas (guesthouses), butalso in one or two of the best hotelsavailable, dine in authentic restaurants,

primarily paladares – restaurants ownedand operated by self-employers, for amore vivid interaction with Cuban realityand homemade Cuban food. There will be

a cooking demonstration in a prestigiousHavana cooking school, and we’ll visit an

organic farm, coffee plantation, sugar mill, and so muchmore. Plus a visit to Finca la Vigia, Earnest Hemingway’sfamous house.

Two years ago, my

friend and sometimes

partner Bonnie and I

decided it would be fun

to resurrect my Catch the

Wind tour to Andalucia,

Spain. W e thought we

would do it like our France

tour, in that she and I

would drive two large vans

and invite fellow travelers

to join us on an adventure

in this lovely and enchanting region of Spain, with its sunshine,

olive groves, vineyards, mountains, spectacular scenery, and

warm, friendly people.

It’s not the first time I’ve tried this. In 2010 I scoped out the

area, and in 2011 a small group of 12 enjoyed a wonderful time.

Could I recreate this for 2018? That was the big question.

W ell guess what? I found that although you can’t go back and

have the same experience, you can go back and make it even

better!! Last April Bonnie and I escorted a great group of fun loving

folks back to the same sweet, rural villages, with the same

awesome landscapes, enjoyed the same wonderful food, and had

the same fabulous time!

So, bottom line is I am pleased to announce the remake

of this tour in 2018 was a great success and it will continue

for another two years. In fact 2019 is basically full already, with

just one opening for a single gal or guy.
