The Internet is better than TV Can switch quickly between real and virtual Doing is more important than knowing Multitasking is a way of life Typing is preferred to handwriting Staying connected is essential There is zero tolerance for delays Consumer and creator are blurring Bert and Ernie are old enough to be their parents

Net Gen and Brain Based Theory

To effect learning neural pathways need to be developed.

Passive learning can cause dendritic dieback and stunted neurons.

Active engagement develops neurons.

The corpus collussum is better developed in millennials due to multitasking.

As a result:

Linear thought process is much less common than piecing together information from multiple sources.

Highly developed visual spatial skills (maybe from games), able to integrate virtual and physical.

Prefer inductive discovery, they learn better by discovery than exposition.
