Football Information
Sacred Heart is Reconditioning the Football Helmets in May. If you are considering play-ing Tackle Football in the Fall, please send an email to [email protected] and [email protected] ASAP noting your Name and Grade. There is a mandatory hel-met measurement at Sacred Heart May 18th between 4:30-6pm. Only those measured at this time will be eligible to use a Sacred Heart helmet. A non-refundable reconditioning fee of $25 must be paid at the measuring.

Vacation Bible School (VBS) June 18-22
The signup deadline is coming fast!!!!! Registrations are due by May 21st if you want to be guaranteed a tshirt.
This half day program runs from Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
This is geared to children entering 3 year old preschool through 4th grade. The program is geared to younger children as silliness is the common theme, as well as prayer, learning through games, crafts, music and skits.

This weeklong Catholic education youth camp is dedicated to sharing the
Gospel and promoting the Catholic faith through fun,
creative and interactive forms of catechesis, evangelization,
Christian witness, and Eucharistic worship.

Vacation Bible School pro-vides the opportunity to
explore specific Catholic faith concepts
through small group, age specific activities
centered around daily stations like music, crafts,
catechesis and snacks

About our Coach
st. james academy volleyball About our Camps… Coach Dorsey and her players are committed to making the
kids camp experience not only enjoyable, but also instructive.
We strive to give quality instruction in all aspects of the game. Participants will receive
individual attention from energetic and skilled coaches. We will provide a fun and safe camp environment while the
kids Þne tune their fundamental skills.
Our camp is fast paced and our goal is to get kids as many
touches on the ball as possible! It is also key for them to interact
with their coaches and the incredible players, both past and present, that make up the SJA
volleyball family!

Individual Skills Camps
May 29-May 31st: 5-8th Grade
Passing: 8:30-9:30am
Setting: 9:30-10:30am
Hitting: 10:30-11:30am
Cost: $40.00 per session
Volleyball Camp:
June 11-14th
K-3rd grade: 8-10am *boys welcome*
4th-6th Grade: 10-12:00pm
7th-8th Grade: 12:30-3:00pm
Cost: $80.00
Tryout Readiness Camp
July 23rd-25th: 5th-8th Grade
This camp is a mixture of speed, agility and volleyball skill
development that will prepare
girls for their upcoming season!
July 24-26th: 5-8th grade

St. James has had tremendous success over the years as a Volleyball Program.
In the past eleven years the Varsity Team has played in 11 straight State championship matches winning 8
State Titles, (2008-2013, 2015, 2017) and Þnishing 2nd three times (2007, 2014, 2016). The Lady Thunder even
Þnished 4th in the nation twice (2008, 2011), 3rd in the nation once (2015) and won two NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS in 2010 and
2013!
We have accomplished all of this in just 11 years of Varsity volleyball! We are very excited about what we are
building here at SJA!
About our Program…
Coach Dorsey was a 4 year letter winner at the University of Kansas where she played volleyball. Since graduating college
Dorsey has been coaching and teaching. Coach Dorsey was at St. James when it opened in 2005. Dorsey and her husband Bryan (also a Varsity VB coach at SJA) have 5 children Finley (8), Ellen (8), Cooper (8), Fiona (6), and Fletcher (3) who attend
Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic school.
