Second grade little buddies gave their 6th grade big buddies a loaf of bread with a special request last week: each time the 6th grader eats a piece of the bread he/she needs to offer a prayer for their little buddy who made their First Holy Communion on Saturday. The big buddies surprised the 2nd graders with handmade cards to congratulate them on making their First Communion. submitted by: Kathy Dylla

The students learned about the purpose of the “Little Free Library” box and the journey some refugees have taken to join our church community. The students enjoyed filling the Free Library with their donated books from their Lenten Service Project: 40 Boxes of Books for 40 Days of Lent.

Last Sunday, the stem club held its end of the year party with a lego challenge at the McDonald center, hosted by SA Bricks. During the party, 3 scholarships towards a STEM related summer camp were raffled. The club had an amazing season and we look for-ward to next year! An informational meeting will be held in early May for parents of incoming 4-8th graders. Spots will be very limited, so please be on the lookout and plan to attend!

STEM Club End-of-Year Party

The STEM club held its last meeting of the year last week, ending with fetal pig dissections, an amazing session led by NISD instructor, Mr. John McClaren. Students were able to learn about every organ system through this truly hands on experience!
