Principal’s Message
Principal’s Message: Welcome to March! As we are quickly approaching our Spring Break, it will hopefully lead to some warmer weather, and new growth heading into Spring! At Sacred Heart we continue to see growth in all of our students, and it is so exciting to see all of the dynamic and meaningful work from all of our staff! I want to express my sincere gratitude to our Gala Committee for spending so much time in their preparations for our Gala Event on March 7
th, 2020! As we “ROAR into the 20’s” at
this year’s event, we are so thankful for the time for our school community to come together and celebrate our fondness for Sacred Heart. As well, this event always has such a positive impact on our students, and their learning here at the school. Thank you to all that are involved, our school community would not be as strong as it is without our volunteers’ support! Warmest regards, Bryan MacLean

INCOME TAX CHARITABLE RECEIPTS
CRA Charitable Donation Receipts for 2019 are available for pick-up in the school office. If your receipt envelope is not picked up by Friday, March 13th, 2020, it will be mailed to your home address unless you specifically request otherwise. These receipts can be combined with any other chartable donations you may have made; they can be used each year or carried forward for 5 years. They are NOT used in the “tuition payment” portion of your tax return—that is for post secondary tuition payments only. Please call the school office if you have any questions.
ACCOUNTS
Account statements were sent out in February. Please remember that payments are due on either the 1st or 15th of each month. Fees for the current school year must be paid in full by June 30, 2020.
Re-registration for 2020-2021 at SACRED HEART SCHOOL
Verification Sheets: A re-registration form for continuing students was sent home in January. In order to maintain your child’s spot for the 2020-2021 school year, please review the form, make any necessary changes, and return to the school as soon as
possible. Together we continue our journey of learning and growing

P.G. Speech Arts & Drama Festival 2020
We are delighted to report that Sacred Heart School has entered in the Annual P.G. Speech Arts and Drama Festival which will take place at UNBC beginning late April through the first week of May. Selections for the Festival include Choral Speech, Choric Drama and Shakespearian Scenes classes. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to showcase their talents and build stage confidence. More details will be sent home once we know performance schedules.
QuizMe
Sacred Heart School Panthers have a QuizMe team preparing for competition this spring! This is a great initiative that will have our Sacred Heart School students featured on our local television network, CKPG TV. Good Luck to our Panther QuizMe Team! Special thanks to Ms. Ruddy.

PSG Plant Fundraiser: Order forms will go home in early April so you can order your hanging baskets and bedding plants from our local nursery supplier Van Roode Greenhouses. Pick-up will be in early May just in time for Mother’s Day!
Please remember to check the Lost And Found bins outside of the Kindergarten classroom and in the Primary Assembly space during your Student Led Conference visit. It is very helpful if students’ belongings are appropriately labelled so we are able to return items directly as they are found.
