K-12 Sport Next term we have two major events on the K-12 Sporting calendar. At the very beginning of the term (Week 1) on Friday, 3 May 2019 students will participate in the annual K-12 Cross Country. Students will walk the course earlier in the week and are covered by the General Permission Note for this activity. The K-12 Athletics Carnival will be held on Friday, 24 May 2019. As usual a number of field events will be held at the school during Sport. We are looking forward to seeing lots of parents attending these events to support students. School Learning Support Officers As part of a number of school programs, the school employs a number of School Learning Support Officers, or SLSO’s as they are often referred to. Naturally, at times staff are absent due to illness or while attending profes-sional learning. The school is seeking to create a pool of casual SLSO staff who can be called to fill positions if they are available on a day to day basis. Please see the advertisement attached to this week’s newsletter. Book Fair In Week 4 of Term 2 the annual Book Fair will be held in the School Library. As part of the week’s activities Pri-mary students will participate in National Simultaneous Story Time on Wednesday, 22 May 2019. Details on the Book Fair will be distributed early next term. Start of Term 2 Please note that students return to school on Tuesday, 30 April 2019. Monday, 29 April 2019 is designated as a School Development Day and all staff will be participating in professional development activities at the school. Until next Term,

Easter Hat Parade

On Thursday, 11th April, from 12pm to 1.20pm, we will be having our annual Easter Hat

Parade. The children will be allowed to wear mufti for that event. If the parents would be kind

enough to donate an Easter egg or Easter gift towards the P&C Raffle, it would

be greatly appreciated. The prize will be drawn during the parade. Easter hats

will be made by the children during class time.

P&C Raffle

Well it’s almost Easter again, each Easter the P & C run a raffle

with Easter products donated by parents, so it would be great if

your child could bring in an Easter treat and drop it into the

office where we will collect it and put a hamper together.

Thanking you

Pink Stumps Day

By Millar and Tayla

On Friday 5th April the whole Coleambally Central

playing cricket all afternoon to support ladies with

Everyone looked fantastic in their pink outfits.

keeping in mind that in each team there would be

a most valuable player. Each MVP received a

After the MVP’s were announced they presented

the lolly jar competition. No one guessed it but Mrs

Rossato was the closest.
