Technical Data

The PA 41 is a pyrometer in which the optical sensor head and the electronics are separately housed. A fibre optic waveguide transmits in-frared radiation from the sensor to the electronics module. The optical sensor head can be used in ambient temperatures up to 250 °C. The fibre optic cable features a connector on both ends to facilitate installation.

CellaTemp PA 41 detects infrared energy emitted from the target at two different wavelengths and calcu-lates a temperature reading based on the ratio of these two values. This two-colour technique produces highly reliable temperature data, even when sight path obstructions such dust or steam or a dirty lens would normally weaken the signal.

CellaTemp PA provides highly ver-satile configuration options. The pyrometer features two analogue outputs which the user can custom configure. Alternatively, one of the signal outputs can be configured as an input. Two switching outputs also provide a variety of combination possibilities and can be used as gate inputs.

In addition to emissivity, analogue current range and signal smoothing, CellaTemp PA offers a variety of other functions and parameter set-tings. As an optional feature, the ATD function automatically detects the target object in discontinuous processes.

Three optical sensor heads are available. The distance to the target is infinitely adjustable, enabling pre-cise targeting for distances ranging from a few millimeters up to several meters. An integrated laser enables target alignment and eases focusing onto the target spot. The laser indi-cates the exact size and position of the spot measured.

The temperature data shown on the LED display panel is easy to read from a distance of several meters.

Parameters can be configured using the rear keypad. The USB interface enables remote configuration and the RS 485 provides network com-munications capability.

CellaMevis software monitors and graphically displays temperature data at a PC. .
