Bringing The Past Into The Present... Originally built in 1955, Uptown Plaza is one of the most iconic retail locations in the Valley. It’s located at the intersection of Central and Camelback and surrounded by the Central Corridor, some the most affluent and historical neighborhoods in Arizona. Redevelopment of this project is underway now and the grand opening is slated for early 2016. AJ’s Gourmet Grocer is the anchor and a number of specialty retailers and restaurants will be announced soon!

First opened in 1955, Uptown Plaza has taken many forms over the past six

decades, but now returns to its roots. The center was recently restored to its

original architectural sensibilities, with renovations being completed in 2016.

The restoration of Uptown Plaza reveals more than just the original brick

façade of the center. It unveils a new vision for urban retail.

What’s true of Uptown Plaza is also true of its neighborhood. Tucked into the northeast corner of Central & Camelback, Uptown Plaza is at the center of a bustling, multi-faceted neighborhood where soaring high-rises are juxtaposed with historic, tree-lined residential districts.

It’s a neighborhood that values the unusual and the unexpected—
