    A sociologist, pacifist and educator that arrived in Sicily in

    the 50’ where he developed a nonviolent fight against

    mafia and methods for community development

    Maieutic workshops focus on Inventing the Future in Ballarò

    2008-2009

    RMA with secondary school teachers and students

    classical themes of RMA (educating-teaching, communicating-transmitting)

    outcomes: increased communication, better relationships, increased creative processes, activate participation processes, etc…

    Funded by Fondazione con il Sud

    Through training course it provided

    autochthones and immigrants girls

    (aged 15-18), with specific

    professional competences for

    entering the labour market

    Facilitated re-entry into the education

    system; promoted personal and

    professional development

    It is an instrument of integrated planning through which the Sicilian Region, in consultation with the Youth Department, aims at putting young people at the centre of attention, hence starting a cultural change in the territory which appreciates the potential and the role of youth as active and necessary actor in the development of Sicily

    The training course proposed to analyze and reflect upon the

    actual situation about the participation of the immigrant population in the democratic

    process. It aimed at understanding the situation across Europe and facing the

    different immigration and political contexts

    The training course aimed at developing gender sensitive

    strategies and tools to deal with conflict. The training course

    focused on identifying factors able to prevent the active involvement of women on conflict transformation and

    developing new gender sensitive approaches

    for conflict transformation

    The project was designed with

    the idea of allowing people

    from different countries to

    collectively think about the

    possibility of non-violent

    conflict transformation, with an

    informal approach to education

    and international mobility.

    Youth for Peace: Towards a New World

    Organisation of a multicultural

    youth exchange in Palermo.

    The participants were 40

    young people from Spain,

    Colombia, Ecuador and Italy. The project aims at

    promoting the validity of the

    non-formal education

    method at an International

    level through a transnational

    exchange of good practices in

    the field of youth education.

    Together for human rights, 2010 – 2012

    GIVE - Guidance In Vocational Education for students in rural

    areas, 2012 - 2014 Intercult-rural, 2008

    Grundtvig Learning Partnership Leonardo Program , TOI Youth in Action, Action 1.1

    The project aims at improving the quality of human rights

    education programs through investigation and analysis of different experiences of the partners involved. The main

    objective of the learning partnership is to analyze and share experiences in human

    rights education

    The idea of the project is to exploit modern methods used

    by social media for the improvement of vocational knowledge. Equipping VET

    professionals with skills of use of social media will provide

    attractive VET opportunities and encourage youth participation in

    the learning process.

    This project was realized in

    Petralia Soprana and was

    created in order to promote

    awareness among young people

    about the importance of their

    role in the processes of change

    and improvement of their

    communities.
