CERIDIAN TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT

2014/2015 CATALOGUE

INTRODUCTIONCeridian is pleased to offer this catalogue of training services. By investing in the development of an employee’s knowledge, skills and abilities, organizations are able to demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning, growth and resource enhancement. In addition to improving productivity, training is rated as one of the most effective employee retention tools available.

Each training session that we offer has clearly defined learning objectives and expected outcomes. Although teaching methods vary by subject, sessions typically include a variety of experiential exercises, small group discussions, mini-lectures, self-assessments, and other learning activities designed to engage participants.

We incorporate key principles into each training design:

• Participants need to understand what they will derive from the learning experience.

• The learners’ goals, needs, and expectations for the learning event are problem-centred rather than content-oriented.

• A safe training environment engages learners with collaborative participant interaction and healthy debate of differing ideas and perspectives.

• Leveraging the wealth of learners’ varied backgrounds and experiences enables them to be resources to one another.

• Topics must be practical, relevant, and immediately applicable.

Organizations with strong learning cultures invest more in their learning and

development and are realizing greater returns for their investment. Overall they

have superior employee performance, report higher levels of customer

satisfaction, and provide higher quality products and services to their customers,

compared with their competitors.

Typically, the coaching is designed to bring about an effective action, performance improvement and personal growth for the individual, as well as better business results for the organization. It is individualized and is a one-on-one process which recognizes that no two people are alike. Each person has a unique knowledge base, learning pace, learning style and set of objectives. The individual is held accountable for his/her own progress and is challenged by the coach to uncover “blind spots” and change behaviors which are critical for success.

Every coach has a unique approach or style. While each coach’s style may vary, all of our coaches are certified by an ICF (International Coaching Federation) accredited institution and adhere to strict professional standards.

Coaching can be delivered in-person, telephonically or a combination of both.

This individual leadership assessment tool is used in partnership with our Coaching Program.
