WHAT IS A MOVIE AND MOVIE ANALYSIS

A film, also called a movie or motion picture, is a story conveyed with moving images. It is

produced by recording photographic images with cameras, or by creating images using animation

techniques or visual effects. The process of filmmaking has developed into an art form and industry.

Films are cultural artefacts created by specific cultures,

which reflect those cultures, and, in turn, affect them. Film is

considered to be an important art form, a source of popular

entertainment and a powerful method for educating — or

indoctrinating — citizens. The visual elements of cinema give

motion pictures a universal power of communication. Some

films have become popular worldwide attractions by using

dubbing or subtitles that translate the dialogue.

Films are made up of a series of individual images

called frames. When these images are shown rapidly in succession, a viewer has the illusion that

motion is occurring. The viewer cannot see the flickering between frames due to an effect known as

persistence of vision, whereby the eye retains a visual image for a fraction of a second after the

source has been removed. Viewers perceive motion due to a psychological effect called beta

movement.

The origin of the name "film" comes from the fact that photographic film (also called film

stock) has historically been the primary medium for recording and displaying motion pictures. Many

other terms exist for an individual motion picture, including picture, picture show, moving picture,

photo-play and flick. A common name for film in the United States is movie, while in Europe the

term cinema is preferred. Additional terms for the field in general include the big screen, the silver

screen, the cinema and the movies.

Film theory seeks to develop concise and systematic concepts that apply to the study of film

as art. It was started by Ricciotto Canudo's The Birth of the Sixth Art. Formalist film theory, led by

Rudolf Arnheim, Béla Balázs, and Siegfried Kracauer, emphasized how film differed from reality,

and thus could be considered a valid fine art. André Bazin reacted against this theory by arguing that

film's artistic essence lay in its ability to mechanically reproduce reality not in its differences from

Page 2: Chak de Movie Analysis

reality, and this gave rise to realist theory. More recent analysis spurred by Jacques Lacan's

psychoanalysis and Ferdinand de Saussure's semiotics among other things has given rise to

psychoanalytical film theory, structuralize film theory, feminist film theory and others. On the other

hand, critics from the analytical philosophy tradition, influenced by Wittgenstein, try to clarify

misconceptions used in theoretical studies and produce analysis of a film's vocabulary and its link to

a form of life.

FILM ANALYSIS

Film criticism is the analysis and evaluation of films. In general, these works can be divided

into two categories: academic criticism by film scholars and journalistic film criticism that appears

regularly in newspapers and other media.

Film critics working for newspapers, magazines, and broadcast media mainly review new

releases. Normally they only see any given film once and have only a day or two to formulate

opinions. Despite this, critics have an important impact on films, especially those of certain genres.

Mass marketed action, horror, and comedy films tend not to be greatly affected by a critic's overall

judgment of a film. The plot summary and description of a film that makes up the majority of any

film review can still have an important impact on whether people decide to see a film. For prestige

films such as most dramas, the influence of reviews is extremely important. Poor reviews will often

doom a film to obscurity and financial loss.

The impact of a reviewer on a given film's box office performance is a matter of debate.

Some claim that movie marketing is now so intense and well financed that reviewers cannot make an

impact against it. However, the cataclysmic failure of some heavily promoted movies which were

harshly reviewed, as well as the unexpected success of critically praised independent movies

indicates that extreme critical reactions can have considerable influence. Others note that positive

film reviews have been shown to spark interest in little-known films. Conversely, there have been

several films in which film companies have so little confidence that they refuse to give reviewers an

advanced viewing to avoid widespread panning of the film. However, this usually backfires as

reviewers are wise to the tactic and warn the public that the film may not be worth seeing and the

films often do poorly as a result.

It is argued that journalist film critics should only be known as film reviewers, and true film

critics are those who take a more academic approach to films. This line of work is more often known

Page 3: Chak de Movie Analysis

as film theory or film studies. These film critics attempt to come to understand how film and filming

techniques work, and what effect they have on people. Rather than having their works published in

newspapers or appear on television, their articles are published in scholarly journals, or sometimes in

up-market magazines. They also tend to be affiliated with colleges or universities. Movie reviews are

an excellent way of communicating information about different types of movies. They are a

wonderful way of evaluating movies. Regardless of the type movie or the age of the movie, movie

reviews allow people to determine whether or not they think they might like a movie before ever

seeing it.

STORY OF THE MOVIE

Chak De! India is a 2007 Bollywood sports film about field hockey in India. The film's story

is simple and yet it carries so many undercurrents .Kabir Khan (Shah Rukh), is the best centre-

forward in Indian hockey team. The movie begins with Kabir Khan (Shahrukh Khan) playing Hockey

at the World Cup finals as the Indian team captain against Pakistan. The Indian team was lagging

behind Pakistan and gets one penalty opportunity. Kabir Khan misses the crucial, last-minute penalty

stroke against Pakistan and is blamed for the Indian team's defeat in the finals. So much so, he is

labelled gaddar (betrayer) by his own fellow countrymen.

Disgraced and dishonoured for one momentary failure, Kabir Khan leaves his parental house

with Seven years later he appears again, not as a player but as a coach of a bunch of girls in whom

even the Hockey Federation has no confidence. Kabir Khan (Shah Rukh Khan) is a man who

overcomes the problems in life without being skeptical and disturbed.

Kabir Khan has just three months to coach and train these girls for the Hockey World Cup in

Australia.

Sixteen state champions come together to form a national team, but none of them had enough

practice or zeal to win the tournament. The girls come from all over India - Haryana, Chandigarh,

Punjab, Jharkhand, Andhra Pradesh, North East and other states. The team members are introduced to

us (a brief, crisp, and funny take) one by one. There is Balbir Kaur (Tanya Abrol), the hefty, loud,

always-angry girl from Punjab, Komal Chautala (Chitrashi Raut), delightfully brash, and very

haryanvi, Soimoi Kerketa ( Nisha Nair), the shy girl from Jharkhand, Preeti Sabharwal (Sagarika

Ghatge), the pretty captain from Chandigarh, Bindiya Naik (Shilpa Shukla), the arrogant senior

player from Maharashtra, to name a few of the main characters. These intros are shot very well, and

define the characters once and for all.

The team is assembled, and they must go through a rigorous training. They are made to run

ten miles at 5 am and practice hockey with a vengeance. The coach is, of course, hard-as-nails, and

will not give any concession whatsoever. The girls love to hate him, but are unsure about that. A

couple of cat fights, and attitude-throwing, they eventually come together, and work harder. A few

disputes occur between the girls from different regions and languages until finally team spirit is

ignited within them by Mr. Kabir Khan. Kabir Khan is very strict with the girls. Through his

Page 5: Chak de Movie Analysis

toughness he wants to instil discipline and integrity in the team, something which is significantly

missing. Within the team, there is hardly any

camaraderie. There are usual girlie fights and

arguments. Somebody is egoistic, somebody too self-

centred, somebody is hot-tempered and somebody

is simply naive.

Using very unconventional methods, Kabir

Khan manages to create a team spirit among the

girls. When the team was ready to perform it had a

match against the men’s team where the women’s

team was undermined. The sponsors are not willing to back up the Women's team, and the girls must

beat the boys team, to ensure a sponsorship. That does not happen, but the board has to give in, and

the girls are off to Australia. Finally, when the girls arrive in Australia, they are quite taken aback by

the facilities provided to their foreign counterparts. The expression on the girls faces are genuine,

amusing, and sometimes touching. But some differences remain, only to be sorted out in the World

Cup tournament in Australia, which the team must win to make India proud.

On the first match in World Cup Tournament, Australia beats India 7-0. But again it’s the

coach who comes to rescue girls' team with inspiring words about team spirit. The following matches

with England, Spain, New Zealand, and South Africa, India is victorious.

The team wins the heart of the audience not only with their performance in the matches, but

also in the step by step progress from a bunch of disjointed, selfish and individuals without a

common purpose to a word class team.  Team dynamics like Interpersonal rivalries, regional

affiliations, seniors who block the way of talented newcomers, the rural-urban gap, have all been

presented in a simple, realistic manner.   So is the portrayal of the unwarranted hype for cricket and

the second rung treatment meted out to women teams.

Then came tougher matches against Argentina, who plays rougher than what the Indian team

is used to. South Korea is their next opponent which they use the strategy of Bindia Naik, the teams

rebel. Their victory against South Korea takes them to the finals, where they once again face off

against Australia.

Page 6: Chak de Movie Analysis

During the finals two of the players rival to get highest score, but Kabir once again preaches

team spirit, and how they should play on the field. On the final match the team plays as suggested by

the coach leading to a tie with Australia.

With the shootout, India misses the first two shots, while Australia scores both. Tension rises.

India’s keeper manages to save all of the following Australian shots leading to India's victory. Yes,

the girls do win the World Cup. We all knew it from the beginning, yet we all were waiting for that

one final nail-biting-tense moment where the girls would be about to lose, and one singular hand-of-

god action would save them. Yes, it was predictable, but the build-up to that one moment is so well

done, that you can't help and let out a clap or two.

But Kabir Khan is fighting for more than

pride for India. For him the victory would bring

redemption (for his momentary failure 7 years ago)

and reclamation of his lost honour. And when that

moment of reckoning does come, he looks on with

disbelief in his teary eyes.

'Chak De India' is not just a sports film. It is replete

with myriad emotions. And the best part is that

Shimit Amin tells the story very realistically,

making it all the more believable. He also doesn't

bring any unnecessary dramatization into

the story.

Each one of these girls, deserves an award. Yes, there were one particular scene when Khan

goes back to his place, and people crowd around in (visibly poor) amazement, he handing a kid his

hockey stick and the kid in turn shouting Chak De! I suspect the director put them there so as to

bring a conclusion to Khan's character. Thankfully, it stays away from the 'nationalistic' feel, and

concentrates more on the sport. Also, the movie takes subtle and effective pot-shots at cricket, and

the general feeling towards Indian players in a foreign country

At the end of the day, 'Chak De India' is a deeply touching film that offers plenty for you to

carry home with.

ASSOCIATION TAKE ON WOMEN’S HOCKEY TEAM:

UTTAMJI: So what have you decided?

ASSOCIATION: Uttamji you are always harping on the same thing. What should we do about the

coach? Hey why don’t you become their coach?

UTTAMJI: The Women’s hockey World Cup is just three months away. The team cannot just go

without any training.

ASSOCIATION: No matter how much you train them they will loose. The Indian Women’s Hockey

team has never achieved anything and it never will. It is a government trip. Why do you not go as

their coach? The team will be out in a couple of matches. Exit! You and your wife could enjoy a

holiday.

UTTAMJI: I do not get it. Why do you not take Women’s Hockey seriously?

ASSOCIATION: And we do not get why you take so seriously. Uttamji, Indian women are born to

cook and clean. They cannot run around in short skirts.

UTTAMJI: How can an association member say such things?

ASSOCIATION: It is because we are in the Association and have travelled around the world, that we

can say such things. Look you have done your part and selected the top 16 Indian players from

Punjab, Tamilnadu, Jharkhand, Andhra Pradesh, Railways. You have even been to remote Manipur

and Mizoram. But now where will you find a coach? From the moon?

UTTAMJI: Is this also the girls fault?

ASSOCIATION: No it is not the girls fault. It is the fault of people like you with expectations from

them. No sponsors.. no viewers.. no TV coverage, nor media. Now which coach will want to jump

into this mess to ruin his career? Is there anyone? No one.

UTTAMJI: There is one man.

ASSOCIATION: Who?

UTTAMJI: Kabir... Kabir Khan.

ANALYSIS OF THE MOVIE- CHAK DE INDIA

Chak de India stands apart from many movies because of following reasons:

o The movie is very gripping - and the script is tightly coupled with the characters. I

promise, you will be glued into the screen.

o Choice of characters - Every player in the team truly represented their states, and the

culture. Somehow, somewhere you will identify someone with each of these “next-

door” characters

o Attention to detail - Great amount of attention has been paid to the players, the

diversity in culture, and their language and team dynamics.

o Where are the trees? - Chak de India is probably one of the few Yash Raj films with

a very low nonsense level. No unnecessary drama, no foreign site seeing. Its all about

the game. Very focused.

o No Godness factor - Unlike the regular Bollywood movies, Chak de has stayed close

to the ground and there is no attempt to make a God out of any actor (SRK included).

They all fail; they all fight and lose out too.

o Most importantly, SRK is not SRK in Chak de India- he has tried to get out of his

comfort zone (i.e. the usual love story); and must say that he has done an awesome

job.

Page 12: Chak de Movie Analysis

Leadership qualities of Chak De India!

• The Leader should be fair and impartial while dealing with the team members .The way coach

Kabir Khan selects the Captain of the team shows this. He does not choose the senior player as

captain. He observes all the players and chooses Vidhya Sharma as Captain because she was cool

headed and mature enough to control all girls.

• Individual goals and agendas are always counter-productive as proved by the way two forward

players try to become the highest goal-scorer at the cost of the team’s fortune. They were keeping the

target of becoming World Champions aside and concentrate on themselves. The couch had instructed

all girls on first day of training that all of them would be playing first for India then for the team and

if any life remains then for themselves. The girls were doing opposite of that. They were playing for

themselves. It is seen that even in the business world if the employees work towards individual goals

then the organisational goal cannot be achieved.

• Those who do not play for the common goal should be ruthlessly dealt with and kept OUT of the

team. The way coach Kabir Khan orders players OUT of the team is memorable scene. The players

are not allowed to play till they agree to what the coach is telling and till they are not sorry for what

they did.

• The leader should not hesitate to take hard-decisions on selecting and retaining the members of the

team. In business world the manager or a leader has to handle different people. He has to approach

towards different people in different way in order to get the work done. For that sometimes he has to

be harsh on them so that the people do not take undue advantage of the manager.

• Nothing unites and inspires a team like a common goal .The bashing episode at Mc Donald’s in the

film is very good example of this. When a team works with common goal then it is sure that they

will get victory.

• Knowing the strengths, weaknesses and strategies of competitors (of the organization / team) is

essential to fully exploit the strengths of the organization/team, to overcome its weaknesses and

formulate appropriate strategies to exploit the weaknesses of the competitors and to win.

• If you have the talent, passion and commitment, you can make underdogs win. This is the main

message given by the movie.

Page 13: Chak de Movie Analysis

• Unless pushed to limits, your team will not perform at its best. It is very important that full

potential should be used. For that the leader must find out what potential his subordinates have and

enrich them. He must make them believe that they have the talent and help them to develop it. This

was done by Kabir Khan also. He trained them to utilize their full potential and win the matches.

This is applicable in business world also. When a manager train and handle the employees properly

they become capable of using their full potential.

• People always want easy things, and it is difficult to overcome sarcasm. That is why when the

coach started training them strictly

• Be strict and straight with your team. You don’t have to always be nice with them, In short, be

ruthlessly compassionate!

• Strategy is important - know the team members individual strengths and weaknesses

• There is no alternate to hard work, it is smart work!

• If you are after a cause big enough, you will always have people to support you, Follow your heart!

• Success is difficult. You must overcome each and every hurdle in front of you for a prolong period

of times. You must have the each and every team member working unselfishly towards a common

goal.

• Failure is easy. All you need is one selfish person (one rat shit) to ruin the whole project for

everyone. All you need is to fail one hurdle at any one time.

• Understanding and respecting each other’s role and contribution is the important first step to

cooperation.

Leadership with Ethics:

• Leadership means leading the team in a direction to achieve the goal; it can be a right direction or

bad direction. But if it is with Ethics means, we should be true from our conscience and do all the

right things and positively achieve the goal.

Example: Vidya Malvade lead the team in a positive direction and then later without any biasness

she was selected as the captain of the team. She was supportive, loving, kind but at the same time she

is very strong and determined.

Leadership without Ethics:

• It means trying to lead the team in a wrong direction by deceiving people. It is something taking the

role of a leader in a hazardous way. Though she gets success initially but later on, she fails in a very

bad way.

Example: Bindiya Naik the senior, tried to lead the team in a wrong direction by saying wrong things

and create misunderstandings with Vidya as well as with the Coach. Though everyone believed her

Page 14: Chak de Movie Analysis

initially, but later on everyone knew her originality and because of some unforeseen reasons she was

not allowed to play in the team.

RELATIONSHIPS

I-It Relationship:

Initially, when their coach interacted with the players, as they didn’t have any personal relationship

or good understanding, the relationship was I-It because they were not obeying or respecting the

views of their coach. The communication was only in one side.

I-You Relationship:

It is the relationship between the team members. They believed each other and were very friendly.

I-Thou Relationship:

It is the relationship between the coach and captain, because they shared the emotions with each

other. The coach was the navigator for her. If the couch would have misguided during the last

penalty they wouldn't have won the match and belief would have broken. Because in this relationship

people gets vulnerable.

Individual Differences

As we know, All fingers are not alike, it was always expected that they will different

opinions. When everyone is having different opinions then that means they had Individual

differences. When participants came from their respective states, everyone had their own mother

tongue influences, their own ideas, their respect for only their state, etc. But the coach managed to

keep all the differences at one place and made it from individual players to a synergy team. Because

during work everyone should have one goal and should be one.

Model of End Relationship or Terminating Relationship

When you are not maintaining a good relationship with people, show ego, etc then surely you

are going to end the relation one day. Attitude of a person is very important in creating relationship.

The attitude of the most senior player (Bindiya Naik) in the team. She took everything for granted -

she just knew that she was right. She had her own glorious past, lived in her own world and never

cared about the game. The problem with most organizations is the inflated egos that come free with

most of the senior workforce. The result: ego tussles, team friction and a lot more. So, at the end she

was avoided by each and everyone in the team.

Page 15: Chak de Movie Analysis

TEAM WORK

The Benefits of team work are as follows:

Increased Productivity

Improved customer service

More flexible system

Employee empowerment

Competitive advantage

More ideas

Examples of team work

1. The first team work success was obviously their win.

2. The tricky match against South Korea.

3. The McDonald's scene where the entire team shows team spirit by entering into a physical fight

with the eve teasers.

4. Negative intention team work made bound to the coach to resign.

RELATING EACH ‘C’ OF TEAM WORK TO “CHAK DE INDIA”

Team building process in the film is very significant. Sixteen players from different parts of

the country with different backgrounds and diversity meet for the first time for a common cause.

1) Commitment

The initial entry of the players of the team is interesting. The players introduce themselves as

representative of their respective states in the introductory session, except Vidya Sharma, who says

that she is from India, which subsequently makes her way to be captain of the team. Mujhe Sirf ek

mulk ka naam sunaai deta hai – I..n..dia This shows that the leader wants the team to be aware of

their goal and be committed to it. The coach is committed to achieve the goals and he wants every

members commitment · There was emergency derailment or rerouting, when they go abroad to play

for the world cup.

Page 16: Chak de Movie Analysis

2) Contribution

Team also need self-leaders who takes responsibility for getting thing done .This quality can

be observed in Vidhya Sharma. Bindia naik is senior player, however work team need people who

have strong technical and intrapersonal skills and willing to learn. She was not at all willing to learn

and lacked in interpersonal skills. At the end, when team was in need of Bindia Naik, the coach

empowered her and she was motivated to play well and the team had won against Argentina. She

was the only player who could break back to back manning of the opponent.

3) Communication

The goals are clearly communicated to the team by their coach. The coach’s approach in

training the team is not friendly. It has been observed that the coach communicates the team in a

negative for e.g. Women can not play hockey, however this motivates the team to play much better.

Open communication can be observed when the coach is training all the girl and pointing out their

mistake. He was giving a fair feedback, so that the team will improve.

4) Cooperation

“We do it right the first time” this has been lacking in the movie cause they had lost very

badly in their match with Australia. Preeti and Komal are the girls who play for them selves, not for

the country. They hardly cooperate with each other. How ever, in the crucial final match, they come

together and work together to ensure that India wins. Creativity Can be observe when all the team

members forgive mistake , respect differences and cooperates with each other to achieve the goal ·

Gunjan the senior player keeps her ego aside, and develop a generous spirit (You cant have your way

all the time and –to add value develop a generous team spirit)

5) Conflict Management

The Coach Changes the sleeping position of the girl to resolve conflict and encourage team

spirit. He also passes a rule that no staying with your state girl. Komal Chautala (Chitrasi Nayak), the

Page 17: Chak de Movie Analysis

ace center forward of Haryana state gets punished for entering into an argument with Preeti and

punished for a week with 5 similar offenders. In the same way Balbir Kaur, Aliya Bose, Bindia

Nayak and the one more girl from Darjeeling gets punished for misbehaving. At the end Komal &

Preeti Resolve their conflict and the team had won the final match against Australia.

6) Change Management

Bindia Nayak, the right half senior most player for her lifetime from Railways is dormant for

her cool reaction in the field and become water –girl for the team during the world cup .She is

neutralized several times in the film for her ego. Even if she is most professional player of the team,

she is not allowed to play for her undisciplined behaviour. Her position was changed from forward to

center· When you need the best, by pass all your rules and call her. SRK goes and requests her to

play when India has to confront Korea. She was the need of the time. Punch word-Compromise with

the ego.

7) Connections

Coach tries to develop a connection between the team to encourage team spirit. Some times

crisis and conflicts help in team building. The show down with the street Romeos in the McDowell

outlay was the foundation of team building and confidence building. Punch point-When there is a

crisis, the team members come together. In the finals all team members develops a sort of connection

including Preeti & Komal.

8) Competition

The top scorers (Preeti Sabharwal and Komal Chautala) competing to bag the highest scorer

tag. What really happens is that they start competing with each other which eventually turns out to be

advantageous for the opponents.

Behavioural Communication

The behaviour of the girls from Jharkhand clearly revealed their exposure and their Introvert

nature. Balbir Kaur(Punjabi)’s behaviour clearly communicated that she is very healthy, strong and

Page 18: Chak de Movie Analysis

straight forward. Preeti Sabarwal ‘s behaviour showed that she is from a good family and she is very

cool and also she is determined and focused about her career. Bindia Naik’s behaviour proved that

she is aggressive, egoistic and. Though what ever may be their individual behaviour portrayed, the

one thing all had common was they were the most deserving candidates and had a burning passion

in them to win the world cup.

Self Esteem

There were a few participants who maintained a self esteem in them. Preeti Sabarwal

portrayed that though she is a girl she has all the capabilities and then to maintain her self esteem she

even challenged her Fiancee. Bindia Naik had a high self esteem. She had her own glorious past,

lived in her own world and never cared about the game because she was a senior player and had a

negative self esteem. · The cold war between Preeti and Komal to be the best and have a good self

esteem. Girls to have their self esteem at the zenith point; they wrestled with some boys when they

commented them at McDonald’s.

Page 19: Chak de Movie Analysis

LEARNINGS FROM THE MOVIE

Page 20: Chak de Movie Analysis

"Chak De" movie is an excellent movie and teach so many things about team spirit,

leadership, life skills etc. Some of my observations:

1. First of all media (newspaper, TV, web etc.) can be of 2 sides of sword. It can bring lots of

popularity in short time as well as lots of bad name irrespective of your work or intentions. So, be

careful of any media.

2. One has to prepare for many years to reach to certain level. Nothing happens overnight. You have

to have a firm commitment within yourself to do something and keep doing it for many days or may

be years. (Shahrukh khan says that - I was practicing since last 6 years for hockey team coaching).

3. Be strict to others when coaching is going on. Time management is very important as well.

Balancing the time between work, family, friends, and self-development is becoming crucial, and

one has to master at it.

4. Think large. (I am from India - not from Gujarat or anything.). May be we should say – I am from

earth when inter-planet matches will happen in future?

5. Respect diversity (means different languages, different people, different attitude, and different sex

and so on). Manager must leverage diversity and try to get maximum benefits to its own team.

6. Ego is important and its good to have it up to certain limit. The best programmers & successful

business people manage their ego in a positive way and achieve amazing results.

7. Its really tricky to satisfy each and everyone in a team. Sometimes manager has to kick out people

from team if they are arrogant & not working for the success of group.

8. Anger is good at certain extent and everyone (specially managers!) must drink lots of cold water

when they are angry .

9. Never give up and keep dreaming because who dream the most, do the most.

10. Sometimes the best thing to do is, just do it and not talk a single word about it. If you have it in

you, just challenge and show it that you can do it or something can be done.

Page 21: Chak de Movie Analysis

11. Be the student and keep learning. You never know what learning lesson will help you in life.

Personally, I have always felt that - whatever we learn, it never goes out of your mind. That's why

always be in touch with the company of people where you can learn something new everyday.

Learning is life. Life is a multiversity.

12. In business, your competitors are watching all your moves. Don't be afraid of competitions and

do not under estimate anyone.

13. You can only see the reality if you have seen it first in your dreams (day dream & night dream).

This seems crazy, but its real truth and I have experienced it.

14. Communication is extremely important - in personal life & business life. Keep learning this great

art. Communication is useful for everyone in any field of profession. Confusion and non-

coordination can be solved with open and transparent communication only.

15. Sometimes you have to lose to win in long run. Very true in business & marriage life both!!!

16. Time Management is very important otherwise it is very difficult to achieve the goals that we

have set. It is rightly said ‘time and tide never waits for man’. Every person has just 24 hours. But a

person who manages all the work in these 24 hours will be a successful person. We have to plan and

make strategies taking into considerations the time constraints. It is difficult to do all jobs in time in

this unpredictable world but the person who is able to do it is the successful person.

17. Decisions are very important in Life. More than those taking correct decisions are more

important. Decisions should be such that it should be fair for everyone, no one should be hurt from

that decision and also you must be benefitted from that.

18. Forgot your past. Each and every person has some past. A person’s ability to learn from that past

experiences and to forget about bad things and to go on in life keeping only good memories helps

him to achieve all goals and to succeed in life.

19. Self Analysis is very important not only for an individual but also for an organisation. Each

member of the company must know what are the limitations and good things about the company and

their employees. This makes the working of the company very easy and less wrong decisions will be

taken by the management. It helps in formulating the strategies also.

20. Team Sprit is must in an any company. Without that a company cannot succeed. So managing a

team needs a good manager and he should have all the qualities of a perfect manager.

21. Flexibility is very essential in the unpredictable business world today. We have to change our

attitude or behaviour according to the circumstances. We should be ready with some alternate

strategies to adapt to changing environment.
