Fabric Guide & Cutting Instructions Fabric A- Brown/Pink Dots 8219-0126 5/8 yard

Cut two 3 7/8” x WOF strips. Sub-cut the strips into twelve 3 7/8” squares. Cut three 2” x WOF strips. Sub-cut the strips into forty-eight 2” squares. Cut one 1 ½” x WOF strip. Sub-cut the strip into six 1 ½” squares.

Fabric B- Blush Starbursts 8218-0159 1/3 yard Cut two 3 7/8” x WOF strips. Sub-cut the strips into twelve 3 7/8” squares.

Cut three 12 ½” x WOF strips. Sub-cut the strips into thirty-one 3 ½” x 12 ½” strips. Cut eight 2” x WOF strips. Sub-cut the strips into ninety-six 2” x 3 ½” strips. Cut three 2” x WOF strips. Sub-cut the strips into forty-eight 2” squares.

Cut three 2” x WOF strips. Sub-cut the strips into fifty-two 2” squares. Cut two 2” x WOF strips. Sub-cut the strips into eighteen 2” x 3 ½” strips. Cut five 2” x WOF strips. Sub-cut the strips into fourteen 2” x 12 ½” strips. Cut four 1 ½” x WOF strips. Sub-cut the strips into twelve 1 ½” x 12 ½” strips. Cut three 1 ½” x WOF strips. Sub-cut the strips into twelve 1 ½” x 10 ½” strips.

Fabric K- Tan Rings & Dots 8217-0190 1/3 yard

Cut two 3 ½” x WOF strips. Sub-cut the strips into twenty 3 ½” squares. Fabric L- Chocolate Dots 8219-0113 1 1/8 yards

Cut eight 2” x WOF strips. Sub-cut the strips into (160) 2” squares. Cut seven 2 ½” x WOF strips for the binding.

Fabric M- Tan Main Floral 8215-0190 1 1/3 yards

Cut four 5 ½” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together end to end with diagonal seams and cut two 5 ½” x 66 ½” strips. Cut four 5 ½” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together end to end with diagonal seams and cut two 5 ½” x 61 ½” strips.

Backing- Chocolate Main Floral 8215-0126 4 yards

Cut two 69” x WOF strips. Sew together and trim to make one 69” x 84” back.

Block Assembly 1. Place one 2” Fabric E square on the

left side of one 2” x 3 ½” Fabric F strip, right sides together (Fig. 1). Sew across the diagonal of the square from the upper right corner to the lower left corner (Fig. 1). Flip open the triangle formed and press (Fig. 2). Trim away the excess fabric from behind the triangle, leaving a ¼” seam allowance.

2. Place one 2” Fabric D square on the right side of the 2” x 3 ½” Fabric F strip, right sides together (Fig. 3). Sew across the diagonal of the square from the upper left corner to the lower right corner (Fig. 3). Flip open the triangle formed and press. Trim away the excess fabric from behind the triangle, leaving a ¼” seam allowance to make one Unit 1 strip (Fig. 4).

3. Repeat Steps 1-2 to make twenty-four Unit 1 strips total. 4. Repeat Steps 1-2 using twenty-four 2” x 3 ½” Fabric F strips, twenty-four 2” Fabric D squares and twenty-four 2” Fabric E squares

to make twenty-four Unit 2 strips (Fig. 5). 5. Repeat Steps 1-2 using twenty-four 2” x 3 ½” Fabric F strips, twenty-four 2” Fabric A squares and twenty-four 2” Fabric G squares

to make twenty-four Unit 3 strips (Fig. 6). 6. Repeat Steps 1-2 using twenty-four 2” x 3 ½” Fabric F strips, twenty-four 2” Fabric G squares and twenty-four 2” Fabric A squares

to make twenty-four Unit 4 strips (Fig. 7). 7. Repeat Steps 1-2 using eighteen 2” x 3 ½” Fabric G strips and thirty-six 2” Fabric L squares to make eighteen Unit 5 strips (Fig. 8). 8. Place one 3 7/8” Fabric B square on top of one 3 7/8” Fabric A square, right sides together. Draw a line across the diagonal of the

top square (Fig. 9). Sew 1/4” away from each side of the drawn diagonal line (Fig. 9). Cut the two squares apart on the drawn di-agonal line (Fig. 10) to make two half-square triangles. Trim the blocks to measure 3 ½” square to make two Unit 6 blocks (Fig. 11). Repeat to make twenty-four Unit 6 blocks total.

9. Repeat Step 8 using twelve 3 7/8” Fabric H squares and twelve 3 7/8” Fabric I squares to make twenty-four 3 ½” Unit 7 squares.

10. Sew one 1 ½” x 5” Fabric C strip to each side of one 1 ½” Fabric A square to make one Unit 8 strip (Fig. 13). Repeat to make six Unit 8 strips total.

11. Sew one 1 ½” x 5” Fabric C strip to each side of one 1 ½” Fabric D square to make one Unit 9 strip (Fig. 14). Repeat to make six Unit 9 strips total.

12. Sew one 2” Fabric F square to the top of one Unit 1 strip to make the left column. Sew one Unit 2 strip to the top of one Unit 6 block lengthwise to make the right column. Sew the two columns together to make one Unit 10 block (Fig. 15). Repeat to make twenty-four Unit 10 blocks total.

13. Sew one 2” Fabric F square to the top of one Unit 4 strip to make the left column. Sew one Unit 3 strip to the top of one Unit 7 block lengthwise to make the right column. Sew the two columns together to make one Unit 11 block (Fig. 16). Repeat to make twenty-four Unit 11 blocks total.

14. Sew one Unit 10 block to each side of one 1 ½” x 5” Fabric C strip. Repeat to make a second strip. Sew the strips to the top and to the bottom of one Unit 8 strip lengthwise to make one Unit 12 block (Fig. 17). Pay attention to the orientation of the blocks and strips. Repeat to make six Unit 12 blocks total.

15. Sew one 1 ½” x 10 ½” Fabric G strip to each side of one Unit 12 block. Sew one 1 ½” x 12 ½” Fabric G strip to the top and to the bottom of the Unit 12 block to make one Block One square (Fig. 18). Repeat to make six Block One squares total.

16. Sew one Unit 11 block to each side of one 1 ½” x 5” Fabric C strip. Repeat to make a second strip. Sew the strips to the top and to the bottom of one Unit 9 strip lengthwise to make one Unit 13 block (Fig. 19). Pay attention to the orientation of the blocks and strips. Repeat to make six Unit 13 blocks total.

17. Sew one 1 ½” x 10 ½” Fabric J strip to each side of one Unit 13 block. Sew one 1 ½” x 12 ½” Fabric J strip to the top and to the bottom of the Unit 13 block to make one Block Two square (Fig. 20). Repeat to make six Block Two squares total.

18. Place one 2” Fabric L square on the top left corner of one 3 ½” x 12 ½” Fabric F strip, right sides together (Fig. 21). Sew across the diagonal of the small square from the upper right corner to the lower left corner (Fig. 21). Flip open the triangle formed and press (Fig. 22). Trim away the excess fabric from behind the triangle 1/4" away from the sewn seam.

19. Follow Figure 23 for the seam direction to add a 2” Fabric L square to each of the remaining corners of the 3 ½” x 12 ½” Fabric F strip to make one Unit 14 strip (Fig. 24).

20. Repeat Steps 18-19 to make thirty-one Unit 14 strips total.

21. Sew four Unit 5 strips and three 2” x 12 ½” Fab-ric G strips together end to end and alternating them. Sew one 2” Fabric G square to each end of the sewn strip to make one Top/Bottom Pieced Border (Fig. 25). Repeat to make a sec-ond Top/Bottom Pieced Border.

Quilt Assembly (refer to the quilt layout while assembling the quilt top)

22. Sew one 2” x 12 ½” Fabric G strip, one Unit 14 strip, one Block One square, one Unit 14 strip, one Block Two square, one Unit 14 strip, one Block One square, one Unit 14 strip and one 2” x 12 ½” Fabric G strip together lengthwise and in that order to make Row One. Repeat to make Row Three.

23. Sew one 2” x 12 ½” Fabric G strip, one Unit 14 strip, one Block Two square, one Unit 14 strip, one Block One square, one Unit 14 strip, one Block Two square, one Unit 14 strip and one 2” x 12 ½” Fabric G strip together lengthwise and in that order to make Row Two. Repeat to make Row Four.

24. Sew four 3 ½” Fabric K squares and three Unit 14 strips together end to end and alternating them. Sew one Unit 5 strip to each end of the sewn strip lengthwise to make one Sashing Row. Repeat to make five Sashing Rows total.

25. Sew the five Sashing Rows and four pieced rows, in numerical order, together alternating them to make the Center Block.

26. Sew the Top/Bottom Pieced Borders to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block.

27. Sew one 5 ½” x 66 ½” Fabric M strip to each side of the Center Block. Sew one 5 ½” x 61 ½” Fabric M strip to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block to make the quilt top.

28. Layer and quilt as desired. 29. Sew the seven 2 ½” x WOF Fabric L strips

together, end to end with 45° seams, to make the binding. Fold this long strip in half, lengthwise with wrong sides together, and press.

30. Bind as desired.
