The PGA TOUR’s season-long FedExCup

points competition has become a

showcase for golf’s biggest names. Tiger

Woods, Vijay Singh, Jim Furyk and Bill Haas are members of this elite group

of Season Champions. Now in its sixth year, the 2012 FedExCup promises

drama every week as the excitement builds throughout the season. The

FedExCup regular season tests golfers through 33 weeks of play, setting

up the pressure-packed Playoffs. The Playoffs series narrows 125 players

down to the final 30 who will play for it all at the TOUR Championship by

Coca-Cola. The winner of THE PLAYERS will receive 600 points.

Volunteer Spotlight: Anne Nimnicht

Anne Nimnicht is one of only two female tournament chairman (1997) in THE PLAYERS history, and she is now the longest-tenured volunteer at the event, with 48 years of service. Nimnicht served as tournament chair for the 2010 Winn-Dixie Jacksonville Open on the Nationwide Tour (played here at TPC Sawgrass), making her the only person to lead volunteers groups on all three tours that fall under the PGA TOUR umbrella, as she was also the chair of the 1999-2002 Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf on the Champions Tour.Q.
