changes to the front cover design draft

Changes I made to the Front Cover Draft
One of the first things I did was delete Jamie’s story and the picture of the festival ticket as I found it difficult to place it on the front cover.
I then changed the colour of Reece’s circle to red, and added the issue number at the bottom of the logo as well.
I changed the colour of the lines that split off the artists names to red, so that they matched the colour scheme.
Here, I moved the main cover story more to the right so I could make changes to the other cover lines on the right (the image of the festival ticket was not removed at this stage).
I changed the colour of this rectangle at the top to be red.
I then repositioned the circles so they were more even.
To make Amelia’s head go to the front of the text, using the Quick Selection tool I selected the area and went to Layer –New – Layer Via Copy.
This is the result after doing that.
I used the lasso tool to make a star shape, and I coloured it by going to Edit – Fill and selecting Foreground colour.
Foreground Colour, which is white.
To make the front cover more visually effective I added a little picture of a girl group, and I changed the angle of it to 3 degrees.
Using the rectangle tool I added white borders around the image, changing the angle of them as well so they fit perfectly around the image.
To make this cover line, I used the rectangle tool, and painted it red. Then I used the Ellipse Tool to make a circle and then copied a few more circles so they were the same size by copying the layer the first circle was produced in. I filled it then with text using the Franchise font, which is used for the main cover line.
