To draw ellipse, click Origin to place the center of the el- lipse. Drag out and click to set the major axis. Drag down and click again to set the minor axis. Step 5. Click Smart Dimension (S) on the Sketch toolbar. Step 6. Dimension ellipse as shown in Fig. 3. To Smart dimension click the major axis points, then move the cursor up off the sketch and click. Key-in .2 for the dimension and press ENTER. Di- mension the minor diameter .03. Step 7. Click Exit Sketch on the Sketch toolbar. B. Save as "PROPELLER". Step 1. Click File Menu > Save As. Step 2. PropellerA. Base for Blade.Step 1. Click File Menu > New, click Part and OK.

Step 2. Click Top (plane) in the Feature Man-

ager and click Sketch

(plane) in the Feature Man-

from the Content toolbar, Fig. 1.

Step 3. Click Ellipse on the Sketch toolbar.

Step 4. Starting from the Origin draw ellipse, Fig. 2. To draw ellipse, click Origin to place the center of the el-lipse. Drag out and click to set the major axis. Drag down and click again to set the minor axis.

Step 5. Click Smart Dimension (S) on the Sketch toolbar.

Step 6. Dimension ellipse as shown in Fig. 3. To Smart dimension click the major axis points, then move the cursor up off the sketch and click. Key-in .2 for the dimension and press ENTER. Di-mension the minor diameter .03.

Step 7. Click Exit Sketch on the Sketch toolbar.

B. Save as "PROPELLER".Step 1. Click File Menu > Save As.

Step 2. Key-in PROPELLER for the fi lename and press ENTER.

C. Create Plane.Step 1. Click Isometric on the View

toolbar. (Ctrl-7)

Step 2. Click Top (plane) in the Feature Manager, Fig. 4.

Step 3. Use Z key to zoom out to see Top Plane in drawing area, Fig. 5. Drag a corner to resize the plane to fi t close around ellipse.

Step 4. Ctrl drag Top plane in drawing area up and release, Fig. 6. To Ctrl drag, hold down Ctrl and drag plane up.

Step 5. Key-in 1.6 for Distance in the Property Manager, Fig. 7 and click OK Property Manager,

.

Step 6. Click Zoom to Fit (F) on the View toolbar.

D. Create Sketch in Plane 1.Step 1. Click Plane 1 in the Feature Man-

ager and click Sketch from the Content toolbar, Fig. 8.

Step 2. Click Point (S) on the Sketch toolbar.

Step 3. Draw a Point at the Origin , Fig. 9. Don't draw any extra Points.Don't draw any extra Points.

Step 4. Click Exit Sketch on the Sketch toolbar.

Step 5. Save. Use Ctrl-S.
