JANUARY 14, 2013 CHARITY EVENT GUIDE Advertising Supplement ORANGE COUNTY BUSINESS JOURNALA 3

 Dear Readers,

The Orange County Business Journal is pleased to present our

inaugural edition of the Charity Event Guide. This wonderful resource

includes calendar listings of many of the 2013 charity events in Orange

County by month, as well as full page profiles featuring the top 20

fundraising events of 2012. The top 20 events are based on net revenueand include the top 5 in each of four categories: Dinners, Luncheons,

Golf Events and Walk/Runs.

Many of the monthly listings include descriptions as well as fabulous

photos of the volunteers, participants and philanthropic leaders in our

community who are vital in making these events so successful. This guide

will assist our philanthropic readers in choosing the events that they want

to support while also helping the nonprofit community in planning their

events. This guide will also be available at www.ocbj.com for up-to-date

listing information throughout the year with links to the individual

websites of our nonprofit partners.

Thank you to my dear friend and Project Coordinator Sally Lawrence,

Project Editor Julie Vo and to our Production Team (Richard Loyd,

Martin Nilchian, Brette Miller and Adria Kloke) for their many hours of

tireless effort in launching the Charity Event Guide.
