March 1, 2020

In 1 Timothy 4:15-16, Paul would write these words: "Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress. Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers." All of chapter 4 revolves around instructions for Timothy. Timothy was

not to pay attention to false teachers and their false teachings. Instead, he was to point out the truth of God's Word. He was to be diligent in living the Truth and preaching the

Truth. He was to watch his life and teaching closely. Paul told him why he was supposed to watch them so closely: "If you do, you will save yourself and your

hearers." I've got a lot of things I am going to have to answer for when I stand before God. There are a couple of things I don't want to be found guilty of: Teaching false teachings and leading others away from God. I have no doubt that my lessons and sermons are not exciting or entertaining. I know I am not the most charismatic speaker there is. But I

pray that when you hear them and study them that you do see the Truth of God's Word within them. I want to spend eternity with God and I want you there as well! So let's

make sure we watch our life and doctrine closely. Let's follow in the footsteps of Jesus and teach the commands of Jesus Christ. Have a great week!
