Constructing Tourism based Tunnel Aquarium and Water Sports Complex in Puducherry (Pondicherry).

Puducherry - The potential for tourism is substantial in the Union Territory(state). The four regions of the Union Territory have a coastline of 45 km with 675 sq. km of inshore waters, 1.347 ha of inland water and 800 ha of brackish water. This innovative project will develop the tourism in the Puducherry and increase the revenue for the state.

This project also includes the educational program for students and conservation campaigns for the public.

A Tunnel Aquarium is the most effective way to allow people to be underwater without actually getting wet. The view of fish and other aquatic wildlife from underneath is the most unique and unnatural view available. There is something very ominous about Fishes swimming overhead less than three feet away.

The Tunnel Aquarium can be used both in freshwater and saltwater exhibits. Even open water tunnels have been constructed. Such a tunnel consists of Acrylic panels, which are Arched in large ovens, in order to form these magnificent overhead tanks. Tunnels Aquarium can be of 180 degree angle, rectangular or of different shape.

Aquarium includes a clear acrylic tunnel that lets visitors explore the underwater world while remaining dry.

The aquarium also aims to be one of its kind by exhibiting "India's largest collection of ocean life".

The aquarium has several additional adventures for a fee, such as

snorkeling or diving in the tanks, educational outreaches, birthday parties, and sleepovers in the Shark Cove section of the tunnel.

SCUBA DIVING:Scuba stands for self-contained underwater breathing apparatus. Scuba divers carry a tank of air that allows them to breathe while deep underwater.The most common form of diving is Leisure diving, or recreational diving. Recreational divers do so to enjoy aquatic life.

SNORKELING:Is a common form of diving on the surface or just below on the surface. A snorkel is a tube that allows the diver to breathe while floating at the water's surface. One end fits in the diver's mouth and the other end extends above the water.

When choosing a large scale aquarium, there are many options from which to decide. There are custom molded shapes, sizes and patterns as well as custom viewing options.
