PURPOSETo increase brand awareness and sell homes for Lennar

Corporation, one of the nation’s premier homebuilders.

PROCESSIn order to create an effective campaign that best

represents the brand and advertises homes, thorough

marketplace research was required. Through this research

we determined that competitors employ an abrasive, sales-

first approach to advertising homes. We also researched

industry-standard e-mail marketing practices, and identified

ways we could enhance Lennar branding while complying

with existing guidelines and requirements.

SOLUTIONTo distinguish ourselves from the competition, we employed

a lifestyle-based advertising model that appealed primarily

to the homebuyer’s sense of well-being. Family and lifestyle

imagery are at the forefront of our clean designs, positioning

Lennar as a brand that not only sells homes, but lifestyles as

well. Our e-mail marketing campaigns perform well above

industry standard and company-wide benchmarks.

PURPOSETo identify an ideal target market for the promotion of new

Tampa communities and develop an integrated campaign.

PROCESSWe identified growing families as an ideal target market for new

communities, as they often seek larger housing and community

amenities to accommodate their children. We found that

women were the primary purchase influencers when buying

a new home. We also found that mothers of young children

frequented mommy blogs for product recommendations

and advice. With this in mind, we decided targeting growing

families through local mommy bloggers was the best course of

action.

SOLUTIONWe selected three local bloggers that had children, extensive

experience with family blogging and large female followings on

social media. In understanding what moms look for in a home,

we wanted our bloggers to relay the message to their followers

that Lennar homes are “Mommy Certified,” having everything a

mom could want in her home. Our bloggers were responsible

for both blog and social media posts highlighting a combination

of Lennar’s product lines and lifestyle topics. We also leveraged

their followings to lead up to a community “Back to School

BBQ,” an open house event at the end of the campaign.

MOMMY CERTIFIED

Over 10 weeks, the bloggers produced 13

original blogs with respect to “What Makes a

House a Home?”, Lennar’s new K-Bar Ranch

community, and “What Makes Lennar Homes

Mommy Certified?”

The blogs were shared on their own social

media platforms, reaching over 40,000 unique

visitors and receiving 389 social shares on

Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Google+ and

StumbleUpon. They also created 30 Facebook

posts that reached 46,394 unique users, as

well as 123 Twitter posts that reached 29,100

followers. In addition, 61 Pins to the shared

“Mommy Certified Homes” Pinterest board

reached 8,235 followers.

The digital campaign was enhanced with

banner ads on the Tampa Bay Parenting

website, and was also accompanied by full-

page ads in their magazine, resulting in

60,000 print impressions and 88,000 online

impressions.

Our greatest marker of success was the 300%

increase in open house attendance at the

PURPOSETo increase engagement both before and during an annual

fundraising event among non-profit Hope & Help Center’s

core donor base, as well as promote awareness of Hope and

Help Center’s mission.

PROCESSWe presented the event organizers with the strategy of

leveraging their existing social media platforms to raise

awareness both before and during the event. We specifically

identified the idea of live social media reporting as a way to

engage with attendees during the event. After meeting with

the organizers, we then conducted research on the Headdress

Ball, including the history of the event, scheduled happenings

for the year, and what would differentiate this year’s Ball

from previous ones. In order to perform live social media

for the event, it was necessary to then determine the best

social media platforms to engage with attendees, as well as

investigate the best practices to implement during the event.

Our goal was to amplify and spread Hope and Help Center’s message

through social media by increasing followers and engagement across

Facebook, Twitter and Instagram during a two-week period.

Having conducted comprehensive research on the Headdress Ball

event, we scheduled social media posts to highlight points of interest

including performers and auction times leading up to the event. The

posts also included facts about Hope and Help Center’s services and

HIV/AIDS to keep the organization’s message at the forefront.

During the event, we encouraged social sharing through audience

participation with a step and repeat as attendees entered the event.

We also had a team of social media reporters in place to broadcast the

event via Twitter and Instagram.

As a result of our efforts, Hope and Help Center’s Facebook

impressions increased 345%. Twitter mentions increased 1100%, while

the evening’s hashtag saw a total of 370,312 impressions. Social media

reporting resulted in 97 photo and video uploads to Instagram and a

49% follower increase.

Through a comprehensive strategy, we were able to leverage social

media to increase followers and follower engagement for Hope & Help

Center, gain insight about their donor base, and ultimately generate

a lot of buzz around their largest fundraising event of the year, while

simultaneously raising awareness for Hope & Help Center’s mission.

PURPOSETo design branded print and web collateral for

Olde Town Brokers, a full-service commercial and

residential real estate company.

PROCESSTo create effective and recognizable branded print and

web collateral for realty firm Olde Town Brokers, we

researched competitors’ collateral to determine standard

industry practices and identify areas that could be

manipulated to set our design apart. Our research showed

that many designs in the realty industry lack consistency

and are often crowded. Olde Town Broker’s former

business cards exhibited this issue, as each realtor used a

different template, resulting in an inconsistent image.

SOLUTIONWe applied consistent design elements across various

forms of collateral, which include business cards, postcards,

folders, web banners, e-mails and a company blog page.

The dark green selected is derived from the logo and is

made to be the primary design color due to its friendly,

prosperous appearance. We implemented clean, minimalist

designs with subtle drop shadows that allow clear

presentation of relevant information, reflecting a reassuring

sense of professionalism.

PURPOSETo design a brand and create a website for Attorney Rudez.

PROCESSThorough research of competition in the surrounding area

was required to understand the legal landscape. We found

that competitors’ branding and websites lacked concerted

design and human appeal. We explored various logo,

typeface and website designs that conveyed empathy and

inspired confidence. We explored the cultural background

of Serbians, Croatians and Bosnians — a significant target

market — to determine ways to appeal to them.

SOLUTIONTo appeal to an international audience, we crafted a globe

as the logo. Blue was chosen as the primary color to create

a therapeutic ambiance. Furthermore, because blue is not

a common color in countries’ flags, it is considered neutral

and its appeal crosses borders. A logotype was chosen

to establish a judicial feel. To accommodate those who

are not proficient in English, a language selector tool was

incorporated into the website, resulting in a user-friendly

interface with universal appeal.

PURPOSETo undertake a company rebrand, as well as design and

implement a fully responsive website.

PROCESSTo effectively reinvent Comtech Systems as a brand, a

thorough investigation of its current brand in relation to its

competitors and peers in the Troposcatter Communication

industry was required. Our findings showed that all existing

components of Comtech’s branding collateral were severely

outdated and did not reflect its standing as one of the

leaders in the industry. We worked closely with company

leaders to align ourselves with the voice and image they

wanted to project moving forward.

SOLUTIONAdhering to design elements from the existing logo,

we crafted a brand image that reflected Comtech’s

technological nature. The use of straight lines in the design

reflects precision, while the cool, dark blue colors impart

an authoritative calm. To foster a unified image, the design

was applied to a wide variety of collateral. The collateral

material was created to present the highly technical and

sophisticated nature of Comtech’s business in a manner

accessible to its clients.

PURPOSETo design a brand for See Inside Places, a company that

creates 360° interactive tours of interiors and venues.

PROCESSIn order to create an effective brand that best portrays

the company’s services and technological nature, we

investigated competitors in the industry to identify

significant trends. We found that competing tech companies

often have a brand that doesn’t align with their services. We

also explored logo designs that appealed to the consumer’s

sense of welcome and reflected their natural curiosity to

gain exclusive views of previously unseen locations. SOLUTIONTo create an appealing and inviting brand that reflected the

company’s service of viewing inside places, we crafted a logo

reminiscent of an opening door. The typography was chosen

due to its pleasing aesthetic and geometric structure, which

reinforces the company’s technological roots. We chose

white as the primary color for the logo due to its versatility

when placed on images. The grayscale color scheme was

derived from the logo and allowed the website’s imagery and

product to be the focal point.

PURPOSETo create a fully-featured website for CommonWell Health

Alliance, an independent not-for-profit organization that

supports universal access to healthcare data through

interoperability.

PROCESSWe met with the client to fully understand and align

ourselves with CommonWell’s vision. A unique challenge

presented itself: healthcare IT databases are catered

towards systems that use Internet Explorer 8, which is non-

responsive. To function on both the older, non-responsive

Internet Explorer 8 and more modern, responsive browsers,

two versions of the website would need to be created.

SOLUTIONWe designed a custom website taking into consideration all

technical challenges. We installed the WoprdPress as the

CMS for ease of use on the client for on-going updates. It

features a clean, highly-navigable interface. The white space

Orange County

PURPOSETo create a new, user-friendly website for the Orange County

Government in Florida.

PROCESSThe previous site served as the online portal for residents,

government officials and staff of Orange County, providing

information about the government, community affairs, local weather,

job opportunities and events. The usability of the website suffered

due to poorly-organized navigation and outdated visuals. By

researching other government websites and becoming entrenched

in Orange County’s history, we started creating a website with the

goal of efficient functionality while still being representative of the

county’s Floridian spirit.

SOLUTIONThe first step was to restructure navigation to be more logical and

clear-cut. This greatly improved navigability and creates an interface

that allows users to find what they need in fewer clicks. Imagery

of local sites and attractions are accompanied by an orange and

blue color scheme to represent Orange County and create unity.

Our efforts gave Orange County an informative online resource for

residents, employees and visitors. The website earned Government

Technology’s 2012 Best of the Web award, which recognizes

outstanding Web portals belonging to U.S. cities, counties and states.

PURPOSETo create a website for Allgen Financial, an investment

management services.

PROCESSWe first studied their current website to identify areas

that could be improved. Their current website was

unresponsive, and while it had content, it lacked visual

appeal. We then considered Allgen’s services and target

audience: they strive to provide financial services to clients

of all generations and accompany them on their journey to

financial freedom.

SOLUTIONThe homepage is a strong visual representation of Allgen’s

mission and values. The interactive image of a mountain is

enhanced by video, and the user scrolling to the summit

is analogous to an individual’s journey to attain financial

freedom. The rest of the site features imagery of people

from all ages and backgrounds, emphasizing Allgen’s

broad client base. The clean design, easily-navigable

PURPOSETo create a fully-integrated e-commerce website for The

Phuture, a startup clothing company.

PROCESSIn order to create a digital storefront that reflected The

Phuture’s ideals and products, a thorough review of their

clothing and mission statement was necessary. We found the

following statement to be indicative of their intent: “Looking

at our designs, we want you to think about the future.”

Their products—as well as the already existing logo—feature

bold colors, sharp contrasts and futuristic design elements

reminiscent of science fiction.

SOLUTIONThe design of the website is drawn from the clothing itself,

as well as the company’s mission. To optimize the site for

e-commerce, the website features a shopping cart and

checkout page, as well a size chart. Because The Phuture is

a startup company and is in the process of expanding, the

website is structured for growth. The background features

a clean, precise hexagonal design. The white background

contrasts sharply with the foreground images and header,

which feature a gray scheme and blue accents. The

typefaces are derived from the logo and are monospace and

PURPOSETo design and implement a responsive website.

PROCESSTo fully understand the image Kobé wanted to portray

through its website, we decided to immerse ourselves in

their services. We visited several Kobé restaurants to analyze

the décor and atmosphere, and also worked closely with the

client to discuss the use of the website. Our research showed

that Kobé wanted to offer more than a meal; they want to

offer a unique, authentic dining experience highlighted by

live culinary performances.

SOLUTIONIn order to convey the idea of Kobé as more than a meal,

the website is image-driven and features a background

food appeal to the user’s appetite, while images of groups

PURPOSE To create a contemporary, unified brand and increase brand

PROCESSTo create a consistent and recognizable brand, an in-depth

review of their existing collateral and organizational goals

was required. NRAA is a nonprofit organization representing

theindependent and community-based dialysis providers in

the U.S. Their existing collateral was inconsistently branded,

lacked a unified theme, and did not reflect their standing as a

cornerstone of the industry. Several design issues were found

with the logo, resulting in an unrefined look. Furthermore, there

was a lack of marketing collateral that fostered and engaged

existing members.

SOLUTIONWe refined the logo to create a clean and polished appearance.

The logo then provided the basis upon which all collateral was

branded, ensuring unity and a strong identity. The blue color

scheme extracted from the logo symbolizes the strength of the

organization and inspires trust from its members. We increased

brand awareness and engagement by marketing through

social media platforms such as Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook.

In addition, we provided the content for numerous e-mail
