Activities in Liverpool 2

There are lots of animals, including pigs, sheep, goats, chicken and geese. You can meet the animals and learn about them. And it’s not far from the city center!

This is the perfect place for a rainy day. You can have fun at Liverpool’s best climbing walls. The building is a 150 year old church. It offers over 1000 m² of climbing and more than 100 routes. If you’ve never climbed before, you can learn how to do it. And if you’re really good, we have more difficult walls for you. You are more than 100 metres higher than the city center. You can enjoy a great view of the whole city. Sometimes you can see as far as the Lake District. There are also three radio stations in this building. This is a great place to learn about the natural world. You can see lots of insects and other animals, even dinosaurs and fossils. There are a lot of activities for the whole family. You can visit the aquarium and the planetarium. You can learn about space, time and the universe. The most interesting thing about this place is the palm house. There are trees from Africa, Asia, America, Australia and Europe. There is also a statute of Peter Pan. It’s a great place for cycling, jogging, playing ball and relaxing. It has 42 gondolas. You get spectacular views of the city, the river Mersey and the Welsh mountains. Each ride takes about ten minutes. You go around three times.

Simple Past in the “History of the Beatles”

Take a look at the text “History of the Beatles” again. The text is written in simple past. The verbs are underlined. Schau dir den Text „History of the Beatles” nochmal an. Der Text ist im Simple Past geschrieben. Die Verben sind unterstrichen.

1) Find all the regular verbs and copy them an a piece of paper. Finde alle regelmäßigen Verben im Simple Past und schreibe sie auf ein Blatt Papier.

2) How do you form the regular form of the simple past? Write down the rule. Wie bildet man die regelmäßigen Verben im Simple Past? Schreibe die Regel auf.

3) Find all the irregular verbs and write them on a piece of paper. Finde alle unregelmäßigen Verben und schreibe sie auf ein Blatt Papier.

4) Make a list all the forms of the verbs (infinitive, simple past, past participle) and the German translation. Schreibe alle Formen der Verben auf.
