Nature of Science Puzzle
Aspects of Science: Tentativeness, Creativity, Observation, Inference, Subjectivity, Empirically Based, Socially Culturally Embedded.
Scientific investigations begins with a QUESTION.
Explanations are developed from a combination of collected data and what is already known.
Can Demo & White-boarding Each pair needs a WB, marker and
washcloth. DRAWING PICTURES, answer the
following questions:
1. What is happening when the gas is turned on?2. What is happening when there is a flame?3. What is happening when the flame goes out?4. What is happening at the end of the demo?
Safety: What-Not-To-Do Lab
Work with your table partner.
Look at the pictures, and use your knowledge of lab safety to determine what is wrong with the picture.
Record the problem and how it should be fixed to make that situation safe for the lab.
