that ensures catalyst are loadedas flat and uniform as possible.

BP's Catalyst Turnaround HeadPlanner D.J. Robbins says IJHPA isvery proficient and they specializein catalyst loading so they arewell trained in their field. Theirloading technology is the bestavailable because it can go dualspeeds and both directions. /I

IJOur biggest challenge has beendelays due to weather. You cannotload catalyst in the rain and thatmakes it tough in this area," saysRobbins.

5,000 MAD cards and counting

Fourteen of 15 reactors in the #2H2 Plant and the #3 DHDS Unitsare loaded now. The remainingH2 Heater reactor will becompleted December 8-13.

The CDP team recently tooktime to celebrate the success ofthe MAD (Making A Difference)Program with an employeebreakfast. Since the program wasintroduced to the CDP more thanyear ago, more than 5,000 MADcards have been submitted.

As part of the program, employees are encouraged toprovide feedback and suggestionsregarding safety or quality

opportunities. Cards are reviewedtwice a week by representativesfrom each contractor group foraction or closure.

IJThe workforce has grabbed ahold of this tool and embracedthe program," says Brian Burre,CDP HSSE Manager. IJWe areexperiencing a 60 percentparticipation rate from the nearly500 contract employees becausethey see action for their effort."
